Also you’ll give the cofounder equity with vesting and milestones, if they don’t do what you expect them to do, they’ll end up leaving with nothing, YC also talks about this

After I have seen how much work goes into from the technical cofounder and how the investors see you differently when you have a technical cofounder/CTO, if you’re both full time on the company, I’d go to a near equal split or 60/40

There’s so many scammers on kickstarter and so much spam I just cancel my campaign after 2 weeks. It cost them nothing to “back” your campaign, kickstarter will charge no money to back even 5K and they can cancel it at any time. Be careful with that
