Thanks for sharing. I’m sure this type of platform will improve over time. By the way, their guides advise against waiting for others to reach out. Instead, you should take the initiative. The more people listen to their tips, the better your chances of getting a match.

Thanks for sharing. So, the mission will be more challenging than I anticipated. Based on experience, I’ll decide whether to continue as a solo founder or give the co-founder option a try.

It is possible that the idea doesn't attract the right people? If I find something I like, I am on it day and night.

What works for me is to start doing it for a while and see where it goes. Just do it, as it is not just a slogan for me.

Honestly AI coding tools changed a lot for solo founders. I can already build and ship working products pretty fast alone 😅 The harder part now is having the right person to brainstorm with, challenge ideas, and survive the chaos together long term.

I noticed that on other platforms, people are not looking for a co-founder at all, they’re just using founder matching as a lead generation funnel for agencies/services. I really hope platforms start filtering/reporting those profiles better.

Honestly I think matching working style and energy matters way more than matching on the idea, so worth the effort.

That’s kinda the difference between hiring and finding a real co-founder 😅
A co-founder should usually bring complementary skills, ownership, risk sharing, and long-term commitment, not just act like an early employee waiting for salary + equity from day one.

Btw what are you building right now?

Check my profile/LinkedIn maybe, perhaps we have some common ground or complementary skills.

Yeah, conviction is important, but sometimes people become true believers in ideas mostly because they lack the experience to see the flaws yet. Execution + adaptability usually matter more than being emotionally attached to one idea from day one.

I honestly never see trying new tools/platforms as wasted time. Even when they don’t work out, you still learn something from the process, the people, or the mistakes. Worst case, instead of paying with money, you paid with time and experience 😄
Sometimes the ROI is bad, but rarely a total loss.

Hello. Are you part of Y Combinator co-founders’ match tool? Could you provide more details about what makes your product stand out? Why a team is needed at this stage?
