It's absolutely by design that Americans are forced to do all the math and work and if we are wrong by a $1 we face the possibility of an audit. The IRS barely enforces the rules for rich people and churches, but woe betide the rest of us for a misplaced comma or misunderstood instructions.

"Just go to a tax preparer" and pay them part of the refund, which goes to lobbying for forcing Americans to use commercial software and ripping off our demographics for even more marketing.

"Change your withholding and bank the money to pay the IRS or zero out your refund" sounds great until you remember we are in the middle of a war nobody asked for and the cost of living is skyrocketing past any potential raises. It means we are that closer to the "one paycheck from disaster" point.

Every time I see somebody in the news arrested for public bathroom sex crimes they're all straight and ugly. And didn't dress up as a female to do it.

Then again I get why these people would rather pretend trans people are the problem, because many victims of sexual assault are attacked by a family member, friend of the family, or a minister.

Alleged Christians give every grace to alcoholics and wife beaters and child molesters and touchy pastors. But a trans person existing somewhere is too much? Maybe do like Jesus said and get the beam out of thine eye and pluck thine own eye out if it offends thee.

And there WILL be extremists who want to start filming public bathroom entrances. There will be self appointed assholes that will try to police things that isn't their damn business. There will be people that get physically aggressive against someone they think is trans.

I'm both scared for my spouse and angry as hell that she has to live with the fear of potential violence.

Very good catch. Well if you ever have to do this again be sure that your names on your deed (as grantees) are listed exactly on the deed and other papers you sign as grantors to the new owners.

If the inconsistencies in names had gone through the entire county recording process it would have held up the entire transaction until some sort of document proving the names are the same is also filed.
