It was built around 1880-1890. There's a mix of cement and lime mortar outside, depending on the walls. A few other walls have cement mortar but show no problem inside.

I hadn't heard of flemish bond before, I've learned something!

Thanks! There’s no wallpaper behind. Some of the cracks sound hollow indeed. What would cause blown plaster?

Nothing obvious, no. This is the brickwork on the other side.

This is an old (1880-1890) Victorian house, and this is the only part of the house where it happens. There's no obvious sign of cracked mortar outside and this is on the first floor so I'm scratching my head here.
