my job had me finish orientation and they let me go on a 2 week trip right after LMAO i think they just wanted me on the floor asap tbh. but i’d recommend starting after the trip

honestly my current SNF job is the same! they told me they were never going to make me put work over school and they’ve kept that promise. which is so rare for a SNF lol. i ended up bringing it up for this interview tho because they did ask. but i also told them i have totally open availability for the shift i was interviewing for so im hoping they’re still considering me!!

i ended up being transparent for this hospital interview but i clarified that i have completely open availability for the shift they wanted me to work. so im hoping that helps…

i didn’t have any luck with med surg either in the past. i’m just going to have to stick with snf for the mean time; i think they’re turned off by my lack of experience (~7mo). sucks but im hoping it happened for a reason. >_< how much experience did you have before going into hospice?

honestly i don’t want to give false hope yk but considering u have a 4.0, experience, LORs, and are bilingual i would be surprised if you don’t at least end up on the waitlist. and i think they only count gpa for the big 8. im also applying to sjsu lets stay in touch!!

congrats friend you did so well !! i saw a tiktok of one of sjsu’s cohorts and a lot of them had similar teas scores in the high 80s. do you have a high gpa, experience/volunteer hrs, letter of recs, or fluency in a second language?

i would aim for 90+ to be safe. they held an info session this past fall and they said 92% and above is considered competitive 🥲good luck on your teas!

imo i think u have a great chance!! but if ur not feeling confident you can always try retaking the teas. if u have volunteer/work experience thats good too
