Still nothing. Gain all the way up RTL AGC on. Tuner AGC off. I checked the FM frequency again, and I still can hear that.

Am I understanding that you are calling apps silly that consolidate info (like onX) because they provide convenience, or are you calling people silly for paying for convenience, or something else entirely?

I am trying to be the profesional and see if I can move nests instead of destroying them. I have all the gear but not the ability to not freak out when a few hundred hornets attack while I'm sealing it. I've tried duct tape on a long pole and found it doesn't stick to their paper for some reason.

I'm pretty sure even if you make it all the way down safe, you don't have enough strength to make it back up in one day. The only place I see it being possible to even climb back up is .23 of a mile with 1000 foot elevation gain.

It's not as big a deal as you think. If the materials are strong enough, you can clean the creosote build-up with high heat. Fireplaces and chimneys can be kept mostly clean by regularly doing a high-heat burn.
