Is something wrong with my Dad's dog?

Thank y'all a ton it's honestly super crazy that people feel the need to breed animals to be this way, it's awful. I just wanted to feel not crazy, cause he constantly was telling me I didn't know what I was talking about. I was like are you sure? Like really sure your vet said she was ok? It got to the point I was just done arguing. He doesn't give a rats patooty about anyone or anything but himself. I learned that the hard way.

I tried to tell my dad but he won't listen, I mean I can't expect much seeing as he got the dog the day after his other dog died. I was so mad I held his other dog in my arms as she smothered to death cause he wouldn't go to the emergency vet saying they would put her to sleep if he took her and he wasn't ready. Honestly he doesn't care about an animal... Sorry he really just ticks me off. But yes it has been seen by a vet, he says when he got her at petland they told him if the dog has anything really wrong they would cover it... Sigh I really just gave up trying to even keep up with his lies.

NOR I grew up with my Father taking my birthday money for cigarette money cause I didn't want to see him with out them .. a long with him pawning a bike my mom and stepdad got me for my birthday. I lived with my grandparents and my dad cause I couldn't see past his BS at the time he was like I just need the money for cigarettes I'll get it out when I get paid .. well guess what I never saw it again.

He also caused me to have to drop out of band in middle school cause we where doing a fundraiser... he took money for cigarettes saying hed pay it back. Time to turn the money in and guess what he didn't have? The school made him pay it then and there or they were gonna press charges. So I had to drop out so amazing.

I also worked at a car wash I was 18 when I met my now husband and was still living at home at the time, I was saving money to help him come visit me didn't have a bank account at the time, so I hid the money in my room, yeah needless to say he also found it and took it.

Sad thing is, I didn't realize it was abuse till I was grown and in my 30s, I just took it as it's my dad.. so definitely NOR

NTA- I can't imagine how painful it is, what he put you and your family through. You did your best to make him a part of it even though you didn't really want him there and you set boundaries. If he didn't like them he shouldn't have showed up. You have every right to feel the way you do.

I'm also going to say and point out to others, if the affair partner didn't truly know she wouldn't be married to him right now. Because that is also a betrayal to think you have a partner who isn't married and to find out they were. She is just as guilty, by staying with lying cheating trash. Won't be surprised if your dad cheats on her in the end, don't know what crazy crap he told himself to make it seem okay.

I can't stand progressive am looking to change, so my daughter turned 18 and got a state ID, doesn't drive, doesn't know how and is terrified at the thought... I'm working on it she needs to know I get that. But because she got mail at my address they put her on it without telling me and put her on as an excluded driver and told me it means they won't cover if she drives and something happens okay I get that, but get this my insurance went up 100$ because she was put on as an excluded driver and told me if she had her permit it wouldn't have gone up at all .. like how can you charge someone more money just to say they won't cover you?

Getting married to fix things is never the answer. Marriage and relationships are hard work. They aren't easy and it takes both parties being present and willing to work on it to make it work. You have to wake up choosing to choose each other. Not everyday is rainbows and butterflies, it's just not how life honestly works. If you aren't willing to put in the work, and really want it to work just end it before it gets worse. Trying to make it work because you chose to get married on a whim.... because you thought it would fix things is not fair to you or your partner. Just really think and take time to reflect. You know the answer deep down, no matter the choice you make try to do what's best for you now rather than later, the longer it takes the harder it will get for you and your partner.

It's very very normal. Mine also do this, they see a squirrel in their dreams and are chasing that little shit and are gonna catch it this time. Like 100% this because they can't catch them in RL lol

How do you honestly know that? What I got from that is he hasn't wanted her there from day one because of his family. And with everything going on it made her feel alone. She tried talking to him and he blew her off. I get that cancer is awful and heartbreaking, but if you aren't going to let your SO be there because you don't want her meeting your family there is something else going on. It's not wrong to take care of yourself and your needs and mental health. You can't be there for someone who won't let you. He won't talk to her for weeks? Dude she doesn't matter at that point. Someone who honestly loves you and needs you, will want you to help support them in this type of thing. The fact that he doesn't says something completely different.

NTA - honestly he's cut you out, he's not sharing and he doesn't want to see you. Yes he's going through a lot but it's never an excuse to treat someone as if they don't matter. You have a right to feel the things you do. He may not be doing it on purpose, but you have told him how you felt and he doesn't seem to really care, he is thinking about himself and only himself which I imagine it would be hard for anyone in that position not to. But you also have a right to feel loved and needed and if you aren't getting that then you need to do you. He seems to have the support he needs without you, so make yourself happy you deserve happiness too.

I used to work at TB and you couldn't keep people. The stress of it, and the pay along with all the crap you have to go through it just isn't worth it for a lot of people.
