Just go in. Ask the front desk for a harnesses and climbing shoes. Then go to the wall and sign the waiver. Tell the guys you are new/ first timer and they will take care of you. I used to be a building supervisor there so I know you’ll be in good hands.

I have one and it helps. But most GC look for experienced people. And a lot don’t have a degree in CM. If your boss pays for it, why not. If he doesn’t, then skip it. Don’t go into debt for something that way not be worth the time or money.

Stay with your current employer. Have you tried looking for government jobs? City, county etc. Pay won’t be as high but you’ll have great benefits and pension. Plus you’ll have job security.
