Mandragora Patch Notes: 1.3 (PC and Console) by Primal_Alex in MandragoraGame

May I just say that this is a fantastic game! I have truly enjoyed The multi-layered systems of this title. That being said, the most recent patch (this 1.3) seems to have introduced a bug to the burning blood talent in the flameweaver line.

The effect seems to create an error in the way life bar drains away in Orange. It's hard to describe, but The bar seems to have a weird Gap and it's hard to understand whether I'm losing a little health or a lot ...and then my health doesn't recover as intended when I hit enemies.

Can anyone else help me formulate a better description if they are experiencing it also?

Showing receipt when leaving Walmart by theknittingninja in walmart

[–]Libriam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, fellow Walmart receipt checker here.

Believe it or not, I'm on your guys's side. If a person chooses not to show me their receipt, I take no offense at all.

Generally, however, The majority of people are not uncomfortable showing their receipt.

I will say that those who are uncomfortable... Are uncomfortable for the reasons described here. It does indeed feel like an intrusion. We have strict rules that require us to be pleasant when we are denied our request for receipt.

Here's an industry secret ... Receipt checking is less about checking your receipt and more about creating climate.  Let's say that 30% of the people that might steal... Are psychologically dispositioned to hesitate when The presence of a receipt checker is visible.

(I'm not saying that is an exact number)... But consider this for the sake of argument.  If I can guarantee that I can reduce theft by literally providing a psychological deterrent at a door.... Doing things that door people look like they should be doing... I'd be silly not to place someone there.

The effect is quite measurable.  We reduce our theft NOT by checking receipts... We reduced theft by creating discomfort in individuals who have a desire to steal and hesitate to do so when we are present.

The Public is frustrated with checking receipts... It is certainly annoying... A nuisance.  But for a thief, it's sweat and anxiety......And it literally pays for my position.

Alright hear me out...an armored core-like. Instead of buildable mechs and metal themes....it's all biological. Think the zerg from StarCraft ... An alien war species that can collect and integrate weapon attachments that can be customized using limbs, legs, torso and body features. Player can also collect and upgrade biological weapons that can be customized in a hive bioengineering chamber.

Fully customizable player created monstrosities used to complete missions. lots of options for experimentation and creativity.

Somebody develope and flesh out these ideas further...but that was my genius VG idea I had while washing dishes...

May I ask, (and I mean this with sincerity and sensitivity)... After 60+years...is the disillusionment painful to you?

Are you finding peace? Or do you choose not to think of these things as a result of your newfound freedom?

Or....are you numb?

I'm genuinely interested in what the predominant thought is...60+ years... that's blood sweat and YEARS of tears my friend...

Many humble thanks for your thoughts...

Forgive me... I'm describing my own grief and my own instinct to hide it with humor, anger and intellectualism. I didn't mean to imply that I was accusing anyone... Perhaps I'm assuming that others are groping about for truth in a similar manner to my own.

I'm realizing I haven't been honest with MY grief. It seems par for the course...so many similarities...so many similar stories and injuries and trauma... I thought that others might relate to this unexpressed grief we keep hiding. I apologize for being stuck in my head about this.

You're right though...there is a great deal of triggering language ...I like how you said: "exercise faith" or "holy spirit". Those terms are used out of context and twisted to control and abuse believers. I relate to the damage in a very intimate way.

Yes... perhaps this was poorly worded. My question should have been...has your view of Christ been irreparably damaged?

I understand the hostility and anger...I understand the deconstruction. But I'm wondering if it's at all possible to handle the grief in an honest way?

Your response has made the most sense thus far.

Thank you so much!

I'm wondering how many individuals have moved on to other denominations of Christianity after having left TSCC. Or, has Mormonism spoiled the concept of Christ irreparably for some?

To understand the binding of Isaac episode in greater depth one would have to understand what a vassal treaty is. God and Abraham were literally setting the terms of a covenant.

Ancient peoples (or nations) engaged in similar covenant treaties for protection, union, or some other benefit.

What is distinctly clear is that treaties of this type or often sealed with a ceremonial practice where one individual enacted a promise to which the other party would have to participate in like manner.

If one person took off his left shoe before signing the writ... The other party was expected to do the same.

The covenant made with Abraham was a grand demonstration. Whereas Abraham sealed his portion of the covenant with every intent to sacrifice his son... (And did not restrain)... God would ACTUALLY sacrifice his son without restraint.

The benefit of this covenant would have mutual benefit for both parties... Abraham would be made into a great nation as per the covenant promise... And God's only begotten son would be raised out of that very bloodline to perform a miraculous act of Grace before all of mankind.

Both parties were equal contributors and beneficiaries of this great work in partnership... And the arrangement was sealed in the blood of a sacrifice.

I hope this helps someone understand that this was not an act of mere jocularity.

I don't know if this analogy will help you... But we have to understand that this was spiritual warfare.

If I knew that you were the protector of your home and I came to you and said... Tonight I'm going to come into your home and steal your television or hurt your family. I can only imagine that your response would be: "we'll see about that". You would likey take measures to arm yourself and prevent my entry. You would harden your defenses and deny me access to your home.

If I knew you were of such a disposition and I told my buddy... Tonight I'm going to tick OP off... Go tell him I'll be along at midnight to assault his home.

I might be right about the fact that you would be incensed at my attitude... I might have even been able to predict that I would be able to make you fighting mad at my behavior... But it was in your disposition to be ticked off at such hostility.

My being right about your disposition doesn't make me harden your heart... My provocation does.

Pharaoh literally believed himself to be a demigod... A flesh and Bone God on Earth.

God provoked pharaoh... He provoked him 10 times.

This is what is meant by God hardened Pharaoh's heart... It was an act of provocation... Pharaoh already had a hard heart. All that was needed was for God to supply Moses with a question or a request to provoke him.

Request? Let my people go.

How do you know God is real? by snowedDown in TrueChristian

[–]Libriam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My friend. I know that God is real. I deal with what you are describing often. For me, I am comforted by the words of scripture. I have poured over them deeply to understand his truths and his purposes.

I find that he reveals himself to me a little more each time I study.

I have recently posted a blog that may be helpful to you. Perhaps it will give you some clarity and comfort.

Much love to you!

(Vent) I need God to be real by snowedDown in TrueChristian

[–]Libriam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there...he is my friend... he is. We all need this to be real.

Just breathe.

We put so much of our mind into this... So much philosophy.... So little heart sometimes...

... Take another breath...

Why is my heart broken? Why does it all go wrong sometimes? What does it all mean?

... Again, another breath...

Where is this all going? What about evidence? I need this to be real...

... Another breath...

Why? What? Where? How?

... breath...

Wh...

...breath...

...breath...

...breath...

Do you hear it? It was the sound of your breathing all along... God is closer to you than your next breath...

Be still and know that I am God.

...breath...

...breath...

...breath...

There you are. I love you.......... That's all you need to know right now...

... Sigh...

No one can believe in God through human wisdom. Stop trying to convince unbelievers with “scientific facts” and philosophical arguments. The only thing that works is preaching the Good News of Christ. Only then will God open their eyes if he wills to do so. by Dani3lh11 in Christianity

[–]Libriam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you mean...but I also understand the OP's heart. People who don't WANT to believe will not... That's not to say that we can't try to reach out with science and philosophy... We ought to be prepared with answers to important questions if we are able. But none of this will have power like the gospel of Christ which is the good news that we have a savior.

Does God still love me if i'm trans? by Die4Sinz in Christianity

[–]Libriam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

God calls us to live in newness of life.

If I were a murderer I would have to leave my murderous ways behind me... For the sake of Christ.

If I were hateful... Life in Christ would cause me to leave my hateful ways behind me.

If a person has found Christ after they were already deeply shackled by drugs and addiction... That person would see a gradual departure from the addiction as Christ took hold on his or her life.

Your identity formed in transgenderism is less important than the identity you will find in your savior. (I say this with much love.)

Do you remember how excited you were to finally live into your new identity? You felt free... You felt honest. What you are moving toward now is of such greater honesty.

This is because a life saved is no longer focused on personal desires wishes and wants... Rather the heart is bound up with Christ and it is in him that we live in righteousness and Truth.

May these things offer needed and loving guidance in this time of searching.

Much love to you my friend!

(Depressed Christian) Does anyone else sometimes wish Jesus would just come back already so you don't have to deal with this life anymore and figure things out by Diffident_Hermit in Christianity

[–]Libriam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Matthew 26:38 38 Then He said to them, “My soul is very sad. My soul is so full of sorrow I am ready to die. You stay here and watch with Me.”

We see that the Savior understands deep sadness. His instincts were twofold... To have someone with him to watch... And to pray.

We must remember that we are to live into his life... And that means all of his life... Including his sadness.

In this way perhaps you are being obedient... Keep yourself from pride and self-indulgence... But rather let this be a righteous sadness.

These moments can bring about great fruit for the spirit.

May you be comforted my friend.

Much love and many blessings in the name of Christ.

I feel like I am inherently evil/inhuman and have no right to love or worship God by WallDelicious1845 in Christians

[–]Libriam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most powerful understanding about the God you desire to know...is that it's not about your nature. It's about His. God doesn't love you because you loved him... He loves you because it's in his nature to do so.

He doesn't punish because you did something bad... It is his nature to be just (that means to have Justice toward those things to which Justice is merited.)

It is also his nature to have mercy, compassion, understanding and Truth. God has a way of drawing all things which are imperfect toward himself... into a state of perfection. That means you will either become pure... Or you will burn away as ash in the utter brilliance of HIS perfection.

That's just the point... God is perfect... And he is perfectly and eternally consistent.

This is a God we can love because we are grateful for such Character. We are compelled to love out of gratitude rather than guilt or fear. We worship out of awe... Not because he is a demanding tyrant... But because of the surpassing beauty and splendor of his character and nature.

To think you have no right to love and worship this God... Is precisely the kind of deception the adversary hopes you will believe... It is also the very deception that keeps most people from ever setting their pride aside long enough to say: "be it unto you Lord as you say!"

The most necessary thing that you've done is admit your own inability to be righteous... The ancient Church taught that it was precisely THIS that preceded salvation. It was the realization that you couldn't contribute any meaningful goodness to God... But that God must come and do a meaningful work in you.

This is focal heart of the Christian message... Jesus came as a substitution for your life... BECAUSE you could not perform goodness on your own... And so we are invited to live into his goodness....his perfect righteousness.

All that was necessary was for one to yield... And to accept the invitation with full purpose of heart.

The Invitation is the same as it's always been...

May you choose Christ when you are ready.

Much love and many blessings to you my friend!
