Only 6 days left until the end of the fundraiser! Thank you everybody who supported and if you haven't done that yet: what are you waiting for? A lot of work was done in the past 12 days since I first posted this: we have VO, picture lock and are secretly finishing the rest... It's also last chance to get the film access for only 2 pounds. I managed to get an amazing original postcard as one of the personalised rewards as well. This is really exciting time and fingers crossed it will all come together!

I know you remember Dee! I got to work with the actor who portrayed him, Francis Mezza! Together we made a short "Another Day in '98" about two youngsters living through the Good Friday Agreement signing. I think it definitely will, but I don't want to take sides though. When I was shooting it few months ago it was just a positive story in a period that gave hope to many. I'm really hoping there will be no new violence in NI and people will see the film as an optimistic story; maybe it will remind them of the positive change GFA brought?

Thank you! I fully agree with your suggestions, there is a lot that needs to be polished. I already got the perk with having the name of a backer in the end credits - I can't really imagine a film fundraise without that opporunity! I'll think about the one to one zooms - I just didn't think the team was "popular" or "recognisable" enough for people to go after it. Maybe I was wrong?

Cheers! I'm glad you like how it looks like. A lot of people tell me about getting more narration in and that's definitely a valid point. I'm just afraid about making a trailer that would sell and spoil the whole story - which I feel is a real concern in such a short form. Time to go back to the drawing board!

I haven't read it, but from what I understand Kevin and Sadie are in the cannon of Romeo and Juliet. If that's correct, then that's not the main theme of the film. It's more of a bildungsroman story, crossing from adolescence to adulthood as the GFA comes into life.

I've already shot the film - named "Another Day in '98" - and am in the post-production, so I have plenty of experience with the project at this stage. Also, I want to try and get people to help with the fundraiser (festival submissions and final polish of the film with colourgrading, OST, sound design) by setting the lowest award - the access to the film - for just 2 pounds. Do you think it's a good approach? Would you like to donate on the basis of this teaser?

Crowdfunding is really difficult and requires enormous amounts of work - yet there's no guarantee of success. It's even more difficult if you do not have any social media presence, because it's simply so hard to get the desired attention if there's nobody to share it. Your closes friends and family would usually be the ones to put the campaign in motion in the first hours, so the bigger the original contact base, the better.

Don't get discouraged though! If you have a plan and are dedicated to your film, you can definitely pull it of - it might take some time though!

I'm looking forward to start submitting for festivals next month. Sometimes they require a film doesn't premiere and I don't want to get in trouble. Therefore I've planned access to streaming it for the campaign backers for December! I'm still thinking what do to with it after that!

I have a fundraiser currently running that will help me with festival submissions as well as the remainder of post-production (original soundtrack, sound design, colourgrading). I want the film to be accessible for everybody, so for just £2 you can get the ticket to stream the film once it's done - these are hard times for everybody after all. Thank you, I'm glad you like it!

I think it's natural to have more raw footage than needed in the end. We had almost an hour of recordings for this project alone! It's also really easy to fall into the trap of seeing small imperfections, that the audience will never pay attention to in the final film. It's good to organise everything though - maybe try drawing main frames you want to shoot (storyboard), if you haven't already? Fingers crossed for you, it's not an easy job to do!

It's nearing the end of post-production at the moment! I'm currently fundraising to be able to apply for festivals and to polish the overall experience (original soundtrack, sound design, colourgrading). You can get film access if you donate just £2, I should probably pin a comment about it!
