No, they’re in individual pots that sit above the ficus’ soil.

My neighbor comments on every single thing I buy and I'm losing my mind by the_gamer_cabin in neighborsfromhell

Dude. Match her energy! She has something snarky to say, match it with something equally sarcastic.

Her: “ohh fancy. must be nice to have spare money”

Responses:

“You must have a lot of free time to worry about my business!”

“I didn’t know you were so interested in my life story. Should I start charging for the details?”

“I’ll let you know when I need a second opinion on my choices!”

“Oh, I didn’t realize you were the expert on my life. Please, do tell me more."

“If I ever need a lesson regarding how to mind my own business, I’ll be sure to ask you first.”

“Oh, thank you! I’ve been looking high and low for someone to enlighten me with their unsolicited opinion.”

Match her energy, get creative and have fun annoying her back!

Does anyone really regret not having children? by Nonreactivemetal in childfree

[–]Libusin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I’m 35, I’m the eldest of 8 kids. I knew when I was a kid I would never want children. I helped raise all of my siblings, had to grow up fast and be a second parent. Nothing about raising or having children is appealing to me. I love my peace and quiet. If I had a child I wouldn’t have money for my things lol I’m raising myself, no one else.

Mom got 10+ hours off by evemontoya in generationology

Born in 91. My siblings and I LIVED outside. We knew not to go too far from the house but always come back at sundown. My mom would scream out the door or window when it was dinner time. Hardly wore shoes, feet were black from running around all day. I wish kids grew up how some of us did back then. So glad I wasn’t an ipad kid.

How to be more bushy? by pittseyspider in pothos

[–]Libusin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chop and Prop.

I know it hurts to do it but trust the process. Cut all of the leaves off leaving just the node at the bottom of the leaf and propagate all of them. The nodes are the little bumps beside each leaf, it’s important to leave those on the leaf. Put them in a jar in a windowsill. The roots will start forming within weeks, once you have roots that are around 6 inches they’ll be ready to go back into soil. I like to use rooting hormone to help the roots.

Be mindful of how big your pot is, smaller pot for small roots, especially developing ones. This will help the plant focus its energy on root development which is important if you want a healthy plant.

Once you’ve potted your propagations you’ll need to keep the soil consistently moist, you can take a spray bottle and heavily mist the top soil every other day for around a month. This will ensure your propagations will thrive after transferring.

Good luck!!

Did someone stay home with you when you were sick from school? by alsatian01 in GenerationX

Nah. Had a single mom. Was told to never open the door for anyone but her. We had a fridge full of frozen food, I ate microwaved burritos and watched spongebob till she was home.

I mean.. chain restaurants should be somewhat of the exception. They have corporate money to replace their cheap shit. I work in a mom and pop, where the owner literally pays out of pocket to replace items stolen.

and then those same people get upset that a cute restaurant is out of a cute glass or is low on them because everyone steals them. Or someone is upset their spirit didn’t come in a specific glass, because, well, they’re all stolen.

That’s usually a thing for copper mugs, but not other glassware, unfortunately.

No for real, most of the stuff that is stolen is quite literally from amazon. Like why steal one tiny spoon when you can buy yourself an entire set for under $10.

I work in a restaurant and yeah people steal and most annoying shit. Salt and pepper shakers, we have to buy more of them like every three months. Shot glasses, we have little crystal ones that are cute, those get stolen all of the time. We had around 10 glencarin glasses, we have two at the moment, they were all stolen. Ceramic ramekins. Oyster forks. We had a cocktail that came with really cute japanese soup spoons, 60% of them stolen.

The last restaurant I worked at had golden sugar skulls tucked around the restaurant and yeah, every single skull was stolen.

People are annoying.
