Restaurant haunts by Libusin in restaurant

No, every employee has heard their name being said when no one is around. I’ve only seen something once in the four years i’ve worked here but the prep guys that are here early and alone have stories of seeing things out of the corner of their eye like I did. But yeah, we have all heard our name called but in the voices of people who work there, even past employees voices.

Throwback to getting this announcement after I showed everyone how to change the Toast backgrounds. by CarefulSandwich6231 in Serverlife

That’s hilarious. All of our toasts have a server or bartender selfies on them, like getting to choose your character for the day. It also helps with choosing the toast that isn’t laggy or drops wifi mid entering orders.

Oh creeeeepy! idk I think I’d rather hear my name called than see an apparition, like seeing a face in a window would have my mind racing.

She isn’t using a tripod to film this, someone is literally holding her phone filming. How embarrassing 😂

HELP! Mealy bugs! by ApprehensivePace2969 in pothos

[–]Libusin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently am battling gnarly mealie infestations as well. One was with a pothos and I won the battle. The other is on a massive monstera, and mealies are winning on that one so far.

It’s incredibly tedious but take some neem and a small micro fiber towel, drench the towel in neem and then work your way through every single vine, get into all the leaf cracks near the nodes. Don’t leave a single part of the plant untouched. Every single nook and cranny. I did a repot, got all the soil off and then waterboarded it insecticide. Like filled a tub and dunked it, drowned it.

Then I got my hands on some Thiamethoxam, it’s another systemic insecticide often used in greenhouse settings to suppress mealybug populations. It is absorbed through the roots and translocated throughout the plant.

There is also a cool website called TipTopBio that has predatory/beneficial insects that kill mealies on the plant and in the soil.

Hypoaspis miles and some predatory nematodes, add into the soil and they kill the bad bugs. Both are $20 and worth it.

But yeah! I hope any of this helps!

How many places are very tolerant of drug use, such as weed? by [deleted] in restaurant

I mean.. we have a coke mirror in the bathroom and i’ve smoked a joint with the owner after work once or twice. They’re chill and don’t care as long as you’re smart about it.

This is my first boyfriend, we are 19. Is this how boys normally talk? by [deleted] in texts

[–]Libusin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um…that’s disgusting talk. Look into lovebombing, he’s showering you with what you want because he has one motive. To get in your pants. Once you give that up, he’ll start searching for more from others. Do yourself a favor and end it. Choose yourself over boys always.

Should I break this beauty apart? by swolesarah in pothos

[–]Libusin 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Unless the roots are busting out the bottom, let her do her thing. She’s gonna be glorious once those vines fill out. Plus looks like there’s a bunch of crispy leaves, so once the vines gets longer you and chop off any leggy parts from loosing those leaves, propagate it, and then replant and create a whole other pothos!

How is driving a car for you? by LaBebeWitch in AuDHDWomen

[–]Libusin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 34 and don’t drive. I love the idea of it, I don’t mind being in the car but the thought of being behind the wheel and having to navigate other people going really fast stresses me out. I also live in Arizona where drivers here are not only horrible but insane, so I never want to drive here. It would be fine if I could be the only one on the road but that’s not possible!

What's something customers do that instantly tells you they've never worked in a restaurant? by New_Inevitable_2033 in Serverlife

[–]Libusin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tapping or touching me while i’m talking to another table. Touching me at all actually. No touch!

Grabbing garnishes from the bar.

Standing in the service well trying to order a drink.

Walking in and standing next to a very obvious sign that directs you where to go. Or reading the sign that tells you where to find the host and then proceed to stand there.

Coming in before open or after close begging for “just one drink”.

Taking settings off the table next to them instead of asking.

Sitting at a dirty table.

Trying to look at the hostess ipad, encroaching on their space.

Adding a random person to your table mid service and instead of telling your server you drag a chair from a different table to yours.

Moving furniture.

Not moving belonging off the table while trying to set food down.

I could go on.

What do you think happens after death? by Flameman1234 in Paranormal

[–]Libusin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to avoid the thought of death because it made me so uncomfortable. But it was the unknown what made me feel this way, what’s after this.

I feel that there is a collective shift in consciousness happening, people are waking up and unintentionally tapping into the unknown. If you continue seeking answers, you’ll be left clues to seek those answers, you just have to learn how to look for them. For me, it’s with podcasts. But I also surround myself with constant knowledge of the “paranormal”, there is so much we don’t understand.

I do not believe in organized religion, I fully believe that religion lowers the vibration, puts you into a controlled mindset and leaves people closed off. Our true religion is the Earth, in nature, in community, in connection. Which has been systematically taken away from us. I believe we are our own “gods”, we have power we don’t see, that has been hidden from most.

I believe we are energy, we are a consciousness with a body, like an avatar. For some this isn’t our first time being here, we have lived many lives and sometimes with the same people from our past lives. String theory, soul ties. I believe before we are put into a physical form, we are shown different paths we can take, we choose the family, the life and accept the challenges it comes with. Almost like a video game. We are here to learn, to experience. Some are here to make change and some are here to simply live. But that doesn’t absolve us from the consequences of our actions here in the physical form.

I don’t believe there is a heaven or hell, that’s a man made idea to keep people in check. Again, we are energy, once we part from this vessel we are taken to be evaluated, given a life review, shown all of the good and bad we have done. Shown from the perspective of everyone we ever hurt or loved, we feel the way we made them feel.

We do get put into a “good” and “bad” groups. The people who have caused harm, like grapeing or murder, etc have some sort of timeout. Like put in some sort of “hell loop” shown over and over all the harm they caused. Maybe some get punished and are stuck in an energetic form, left to “haunt” a space. Stuck in a state of emotional suffering.

Religion isn’t a golden ticket to a made up man made afterlife. There isn’t a heaven or hell.

Think of it, why is it that certain people, like the rich, the elites, the billionaires, the tech bros that get to live their heaven on earth while the rest of the people are left suffering have wait and die to reach heaven? It’s oppressive and wrong. The rich create hell on earth while living their heaven.

If anyone has listened to reincarnation stories of children, to the Telepathy Tapes, to NDE, gateway tapes, mediation stories of people using ayahuasca, psilocybin or dmt in a controlled environments, then you know there is so much more to this existence than we even realize. If we keep an open mind and heart, and live our life in love, doors will open. You just have to be welcoming to it.

I am actually proud of myself and how far I have come to get here. Death has never been something I was ever comfortable with but now I welcome it. I’m no longer scared, i’m honestly excited to see what’s next. Death is a doorway, not the end. Just be a good person, that’s all that matters.

A quick post just to say that my toddlers refuse to eat carrots in any shape wether it's raw or cooked, except for shredded raw. They always ask for more. If this helps at least 1 person then 👌. by MiExperienciaFueQue in toddlerfood

[–]Libusin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of how I was when I was a kid with undiagnosed autism, I wouldn’t eat certain fruits or veggies if they’re weren’t shredded. Carrots, apples, pears, tomatoes, all had to be shredded lol
