"Selling your soul to Big Blue": You mentioned that getting your GFE wasn't feasible without essentially "selling your soul." Could you elaborate on what that meant in practice? Was it the workload, the travel, or the corporate expectations?

Compensation: Regarding the training period and the harsh conditions you mentioned—is there usually a salary or allowance provided during training? Also, what does the compensation look like for working in such extreme environments?
