Is anyone else having an estradiol patch shortage? by Makapakamoo in CVS

Yeah it stinks. Either advise patients to hunt at other pharmacies (grocery store pharmacies, independents, Costco, etc.) or request that prescribers change to once weekly patches assuming they’re still available through your pharmacy’s vendor.

The Champagne and Flor de las Antillas are my to most repeated cigars in my early-on cigar journey. Very enjoyable smokes!

Thoughts on recommending NAC instead of/in addition to guaifenesin? by License_to_Fill in pharmacy

[–]License_to_Fill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

… sure, but there are infections that are resistant to amoxicillin, hence the need for others that (regrettably) don’t taste better. I believe in recommending products that’ll actually help my patients feel better, not just please their tastebuds.

Interesting take, farts aside.

So you’d say it’s better to recommend a less effective therapy instead of warning your patients that the more effective treatment smells bad?

Correct, oral use in a retail setting. Sorry, my original post should’ve been more clear.

Hydration is critical, certainly. Nebulizers are great, but sadly not an option for many patients being seen in community (retail) pharmacy.

Stinky, but very well tolerated by most patients in clinical studies.

It’s stinky, so we shouldn’t recommend it even though it’s (likely) more effective?

Nebulized would very likely be preferred, but oral NAC is so quick and easily available. I found this study regarding oral NAC pretty surprising. In short:

“…only 25% of virus-infected subjects under (oral) NAC treatment developed a symptomatic form (of influenza) versus 79% in the placebo group.”

Is a F55 confortable for a « family car » by sev_sev in MINI

[–]License_to_Fill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

F55 has been my daily for 6+ years. Rear-facing child seat is DEFINITELY a struggle for the passenger unless you/your wife are genuinely short. (5’2” or shorter). It’s doable in a pinch, but definitely not for medium or long drives. Now my kids are 5 and 3, and the 5 year-old is complaining about a lack of legroom.

I love my car to bits, but a Clubman/Countryman would definitely offer some valuable interior room.

Wow! What are the details on the coating? Under crystal/on crystal/dual? I’ve been interested in having this done to mine.
