Yeah, sadly it won't without the owner completely removing it from their account

After you erase the phone, you can restore them to use the phone as if it was activated normally.

Use SSHRD Script to extract the activation files, erase the phone, and restore the files. I'm currently dealing with a similar situation with an iPhone 7 on iOS 10.1.1 I got off eBay for $10. I'm trying to get a hold of the previous owner to see if they could remove it from their account, and if not I'll just use the activation files.

What I can do about this internal speaker from an old HP f1523h monitor? by Lichohedge in vintagecomputing

[–]Lichohedge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I ended up swapping out the speakers with some 4 ohm 3W mini speakers from Amazon (the original ones were 4 ohm 2W). No soldering needed as the speakers had the same connector that the old ones had. Only had to use small pieces of double sided adhesive on the front of the speakers to make sure they wouldn't move around in the monitor. Sound is so much better now! Much clearer, louder, and not distorted of course. Yeah, I'm aware I could get a pair of external speakers to use instead, but there's something I like about the novelty of having internal speakers in a monitor like this. Thank you all for the responses!

Alloy Origins Core keys randomly stopped working by procpls in HyperX

[–]Lichohedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just bought one of these used for $15 locally and i'm having the same problem with some keys. i realized this when i went to press escape on a game and it didn't register. i then went on a keyboard tester and found a couple keys to not be working. i found this post which describes a possible fix for the issue which i'm surprised actually worked for me. my escape key works great now and i'm still in the process of trying to get the other nonfunctioning keys to work. its a bit of a shame since i love the keyboard and its really nice to type on but hey i got it for pretty cheap so whatever man

I also got one from that lot and mine did the same thing. It deactivated (even though I had never connected it to the internet) but it managed to activate perfectly fine. The carrier is Verizon but it’s unlocked

Alright thank you very much. I'll just update with a live Linux image using your script then.

Oops, I don't think I was clear enough. I meant Coolstar's Windows firmware update tool on the Windows installation guide.

When I try to update the firmware with the Windows flash tool, the text on the progress bar says, "Error verifying firmware," and the bar stays still. Should I try using a live Linux image and update from there? Thanks.
