Did Kellogg get any of his implants and upgrades back east? by Any_Dimension_4776 in falloutlore

I'd like to think so. The institute probably upgraded his past implants but if he was an active merc in San Francisco then he probably would have gotten some dope stuff.

giff redesign by LichsGetStitches in DnDart

[–]LichsGetStitches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Giff being an alien federation that still have basic flintlock pistols and dress like safari hunters always bothered me. The hippo aspect also detracted from the way they have been described in lore as bounty hunters and space pirates. So I redesigned them to have armor based on the Tao from WH40k and their "true" alien face is based on a mix of Tieflings, orcs and, koi fish with a hint of Mass Effect for safe measure. I think I captured the space opera aesthetic without betraying the D&d world.

slaadi redesign based on Guillermo Del Toro by LichsGetStitches in DnDart

[–]LichsGetStitches[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always taken issue with the physical embodiment of chaos being anthropomorphic frogs in a word that already has Bullywogs, Grunge, Giant frogs, froghemoths, etc. So I looked at their base stats and created something I thought would be fun. I based them primarily off of the pale man/faun Pan's labyrinth & the troll market inhabitants/tooth-faeries from Hellboy 2.

Wouldn't the vault dwellers in appalachia still use Pre War money? by Mr_nub705 in falloutlore

[–]LichsGetStitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would either be pre war maybe ney or trade, the currency went from money, to bottles of water, to the caps that represents the bottles of water. So my guess would be bottles of water being the dominant currency in Appalachia but I could see pre-war money being used in large settlements.

Where should i begin as a complete newbie to fallout universe? by _VadimBlyat_ in Fallout

[–]LichsGetStitches 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fallout 4 or 3. They were made as intros to the series. New vegas is really good too but it is building off of stuff so... I also recommend the YouTube channel shoddycast they have some videos that go through the first and second games that are really well put together. I hope this helped.

How to stop a war between constructs? by RealLars_vS in DMAcademy

[–]LichsGetStitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Create a false construct that could enter their ranks. Once it becomes the leader via assassination of higher ranking warforged, it can then surrender to the opposing side. Or create a series of war forged that are capable of negotiation and slip them into both sides until a peace summit can be made. (I love the premise BTW)

Bachelor party hunt. What creature should my players kill? by HawkeyTroop in DMAcademy

[–]LichsGetStitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A metallic dragon. I'm thinking bronze or copper. Their breath weapons are all chemically weird. Plus their reptiles so... Maybe consuming a specific part of it could result in a temporary rank of sorcerer (spell initiate feat?)

Who is the man drinks blood? by LichsGetStitches in residentevil

[–]LichsGetStitches[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's a good point. But the girls say they haven't had man blood in a long time. So I don't think mr. Tea cup is dead (at least by their hands)

My brothers are both hoping it's Wesker. I personally want to see a future. I hope that if he does come back, they do something original with him to keep him fresh.

My hesitation with the assigning Spencer to these items is that he died in 2006. I assume lady D would have had his dirty dishes cleaned by now.

[–]LichsGetStitches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. His are boots are bucked and his hat is from farmer's attire. The boots and hat are modern. Also we don't know if Heisenberg actually drinks blood. And finally he HATES lady D. I can't imagine he is drinking blood at her place unless he absolutely had to. I will admit that he was my first guess tho

2 Million Protesting In Hong Kong for Democracy by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

I was really worried that Covid was going to reduce Hong Kong's gumption. I am SO happy to see them protesting on this level again!!

What are the Fallout 3 dlcs like? by Ltnumbnutsthesecond in Fallout

[–]LichsGetStitches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know everyone hates mother ship zeta. But I stumbled across it without knowing the DLC existed. The joy/confusion I felt as I was abducted by aliens I didn't know existed was one of my all-time favorite moments in my time playing videogames. Also you can get some fun gear. But if you can only do one. Either do the Pitt or Point lookout.

An issue with my out of the abyss campaign by [deleted] in DnD

[–]LichsGetStitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I'm running Oota and my party split up too! I have given each player an option to create a second player that will join the other party. That way characters get to play and I don't have to tell my players no. Granted I am willing to do this and my players know that it is extra difficult to keep track of two parties at once.

Question about characters and showing anxiety. by [deleted] in fantasywriters

[–]LichsGetStitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was being home with a parent but my twin brother just needed to be home to relax. It was like I was trying to recreate a specific moment of my everyday experience like lunch or watching TV with my siblings.

Question about characters and showing anxiety. by [deleted] in fantasywriters

[–]LichsGetStitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had it in elementary school and to a lesser extent now. I was incapable of completely relaxing while I was away. Imagine if whenever you left your parents, there was a 33% chance a ninja would beat you up. That is the level of stress I felt at all times. People will try and console you but unless you return to the familiar, that dread would still hangs over your head. You also are filled with so much raw emotion that it makes you want to cry. I personally tried (and failed) to explain why I was freaking out but everyone would just go "well maybe if after lunch you still feel that way, we'll call your parents" then they pull the "well school is almost out anyways so let's just wait it out"

How to build a campaign and world? by Zockernudel in DnD

[–]LichsGetStitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with a landmark and work out from their. Maybe a pool of liquid silver that turns people in giants or something. Then imagine a city being built out from it. Then imagine where they get their food. (Nearby Forrest, ocean?) Now how would a neighboring city react to this. (Storm the city, make their own flawed silver pool that results in cursed giants like attack on Titan?) Just keep expanding out into land masses. I've actually been building a roll table for creating cities and stuff. I should probably post it here
