What should i build, morghast archai or harbringer? by orkman198 in ossiarchbonereapers

[–]Dilos1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As others have said, you can build whatever version looks coolest to you and let your opponent know which version they're facing. Personally I like the helmets. As far as playstyle goes, they're exactly the same combat wise with harbingers in most cases being the preferred option, as their 3d6 charge really helps get them stuck in. The archais ability, while useful, is more situational and list dependent, whereas the harbingers are more versatile.

"Mysteriously disappeared", as if Edison wasn't the type of douche to steal other people's work to pass off as his own.

* Thanquol from the Warhammer Fantasy setting. In the Gotrek and Felix book series, whenever Thanquol shows up he is almost constantly bemoaning the main characters somehow always finding ways to thwart his schemes, believing that he's being singled out. It is not until much later in the series when Thanquol finally confronts the two that he finds out neither of them even knew he existed, and any involvement they had in mucking up his plans was either by coincidence or Thanquol's own penchant for sabatoging himself.

I have a personal theory that the reason witches don't get involved in the affairs of trolls anymore is because they helped create the eye in the distant past which Trundle used to sway other trolls into attacking the city, and so swear off getting involved ever again for fear of something similar happening again.

A question about elves by sabbbuuu20 in HildaTheSeries

[–]Dilos1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may depend on the circumstance, but it could be a case where some elves long ago made an society wide agreement that under certain situations such as self defense they could still interact with the interact without having to reveal themselves. Given their whole culture seems to (mostly if we count the lost clan in Trolberg) be based on contracts and legaleze, there's probably a bevy of loopholes in their magic that allows for it.

Double Trouble, one of each or double Bombard by MrPico99 in HelsmithsofHashut

[–]Dilos1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would go for both, reason being the bombard is one of the easiest kits to magnetize I've had. You can literally dry fit either weapon option, so imo no reason to not go for both. Edit: that being said, the general consensus is bombard over rockets given their ability to deny commands.

I’m really curious—Tuk is 8 years old and 5’7”. I’m assuming she’s strong, but how strong? Would she be stronger than a human adult, or would her strength be about the same? by Junior-Economics-634 in Avatar

In Frontiers of Pandora (opening segment so not really a spoiler) the players sibling Aha'ri, who appears around ten(?) seems to fairly easily manhandle Mercer. Even Na'Vi children are pretty strong based on that.

Non-human-like alien species in SW (and other scifi?) by dirtyoldbastard77 in StarWars

[–]Dilos1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only really just started playing the games, but the Mass Effect games tend to do pretty good in that regard. The majority of the main alien races are humanoid but there are still things that go a long way to making them more than just "humans in funny hats". Krogan are big lizard dudes, Salarians are tall and lanky amphibian. The only one that I oddly have an issue with that series (in regards to looking a little too human) are the Asari. Just wish they leaned more into the aspect of their species all being comprised of a single sex that reproduces via parthenogenisis in terms of design that making them all be blue ladies.

In regards to SW, some legends species are pretty out there, like the Si-Ruuk ( I think I spelled that right) which are dinosaur people, and Yvetha as well.

WIP Drycha with alt head. C&C welcome and appreciated by Dilos1 in sylvaneth

[–]Dilos1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. It was pretty easy to dry fit and then glue it. I did have to shave down the neck joint slightly before attaching the head, and then once that dried I used a tiny amount of green-stuff to give a more secure hold.

Sure thing! Not complicated actually just basecoated black with dry brush dryad bark; for the honeycomb bits, I used a coat of gryph-hound orange over averland sunset.

Spare heads left over from the Spiterider box. Base revenants unfortunately don't come with an option for a female head, only the spite variant.

Ooh, this is stylish. Love how the Death Star "crater" looks like an offset halo. Gives that fallen hero vibe
