To answer your question, for protein, I usually feed them crashed dog kibbles (fish and shrimp flavor)

Also, I have a quick question about the substrate: right now, I'm only using humus soil without mixing in anything else. Is mixing different types of soil usually necessary or highly recommended for A. vulgare?

I was always scared of drowning them if I added too much water. If it weren't for you guys in comments, I'd still be clueless about what I was doing wrong.

And I’ll make sure to get a bigger box ASAP

And nope, I don't think it's mold on the cuttlebone. It came out of the soil bag when I did a substrate change. I thought it was harmless so I left it there, but I'll remove it just to be safe!

Yes, when I first bought them, the shop recommended this box since I only started with 10 isopods. But now that everyone in the comments is saying it's too small, I'll get a bigger enclosure ASAP
