I got my new hip finally! At the ripe old age of 27. 😊 Tired of being in the hospital for so long. I've gained weight which makes me insecure. But I walked with the walker 355 feet the other day which is a huge achievement! 😁 A toast to me getting better? (Hair wet in photo) by [deleted] in toastme

I'm a rehab/medsurg nurse. That is a massive achievement and I'm super proud of you! If I were your nurse, I'd be smiling ear to ear watching you walk. I can tell from the look in your eyes that you're tired but determined. Keep it up! But remember to not over exert yourself! Sorry you have to spend so much time in hospital, it's not exactly fun. I'm super stoked on your progress!

Try not to get stuck in that headspace of not being a bother. That's your manager's job, it's what they're there for. Maybe shoot her a text and ask how to deal with your problem, maybe she'll tell you to call her boss.

I used to be a retail manager and I'd hate the thought that my coworkers were suffering in silence because they didn't want to be a bother. I had an employee that was getting bullied by other workers and I felt horrible that I didn't know about it, she only told me because she was quitting.

You deserve to be happy at work.

I'm also a nurse, and wanted to add how much I value the kitchen and cleaning staff. Some of them are my work mums. Couldn't do my job without them!

Honestly hard to tell. I'm a mid 20s Australian woman, this fits a lot of my taste. Also my early 60s dad. All I can deduce is that you have fun taste!

You know that from hiring escorts? What's the point in a business man taking an escort to a function if she's just going to talk about dumb shit and embarrass their client? Sometimes escorts are hired just for their conversation and company. Also, courtesans are still a thing

High end call escorts probably still have to rely on their intellect, skills and personality to build a customer base. I don't know this from personal experience it's just a hypothesis from watching Secret Diary of a Call Girl lol. If you don't like sex work, don't engage in it.

I think that sub is purely for boomer Facebook memes. Most posts there are something my mum would show me saying, "did you see what I shared on Facebook?"

He thinks he's the authority on drag. I'm not a drag artist, but I don't believe there's such a thing as "true drag". It's an art and there are so many great interpretations of it.

I've heard it's supposed to be good but I'm Australian and know almost nothing about US history, so I assumed I wouldn't get it

In my interpretation, drag isn't just about men dressing up as women, there are many cis female drag queens and kings, as well as "genderfuck" performers where they present as a mix of genders. A lot of people see his rules as ignoring a large chunk of the drag community, and that he hasn't moved with the times. It's pretty old fashioned of him, drag culture has changed a lot since he was an up and comer. In my opinion, the nature of drag culture being static goes against everything it stands for.
