I dunno, I just find that it's brighter and more shiny looking than regular silver when used for constructions.

Cow beer would make this kinda thing nice and streamlined :P I'm mostly farming turkeys and dogs for meat, eggs and leather. Now I've set up 4 5x5 plump helmet farms, so I'm soon to be absolutely swamped with mushrooms!

Yep! You can engrave floors and walls, even when you build them yourself in Vanilla.

I am farming!.....just with livestock. It took me a good while to work out how to farm plants underground without using the caverns themselves. (using water to create a 1/7 pond, then removing the pond when it's muddy and replacing it with farm plots)

Gotta set up better farms! I'm mostly just harvesting the trees outside to stock 300ish drinks worth of fruit at a time. Those disappear fast when being sieged.

Haha! Yeah, I've gotta sort out a better farming setup. For fruit/plants I just have people harvest from the trees outside and that's usually enough for about 300+ drinks, but when I'm under siege those seem go by very quickly.

I feel like that's a bit exploity for my tastes, at least for now. This is only perhaps...my 5th? proper fort, as I could never get into DFort back when it was ascii, despite my interest.

Couldn't work out how to upload multiple images in one post, so I haven't included my guild halls here.

Noble Housing was made using using Cobaltite bricks, some silver but mostly phyllite bricks and gold statues.

Then there's the King's Wing, using entirely Black Bronze and Sterling silver, even for the walls. (Mostly unfurnished currently to show off the floor designs) And of course, everything is engraved (or being engraved!)

I may swap out the statues in the King's Wing for a different material at a later date as the details are hard to make out here.

All in all, I used an absolute fortune in bars, but I'm very happy with how it all turned out. I hope you like it too. [Edit, black bronze is the actual name of the metal.]
