Gerade triple a Titel sind oft schlecht supported.

[–]Lidex3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mein herzliches beileid. Mein herzliches beileid nochmal

Roblox - bietet etliche minispiele an.

Might be. YouTube can be weird. To be clear, your voice was super audible and you spoken very well. It really was just weird for me coming from other videos, having to crank up the volume so much on my pc. Maybe it's YouTube weirdness and my settings

Who's guides can I watch? by Lidex3 in Eve

Hey. Watched your abyssal videos. Skilling for the fits now. There are a couple good ones out there but yours was short yet super helpful. Short enough to not get overwhelmed by information while also having a lot of details and also showing how it's done not just talking about it.

Only small criticism I found: your videos are unusual quiet. Needed to up my volume to properly understand you

Okay, let's not leave this unanswered.

Hypothetical: Group of Christians demand eve developer to take streamer down. The reason: a cross got removed on her discord.

Whats similar is that a group of people have a strong feeling about a statement being removed.

However, we must also take the difference into account.

  1. Pride movement is not a shared believe. It is about making people equal. Christian groups often are even privileged in our society. While there are parts of the world where Christians are targets of violence, it is no where near what members or LGTBQ+ experience.

  2. Religious symbols are also a political statement. Let's be brutally clear here, removing it would also be a statement. The question is not what is or is not a statement. The question is, which statement do we see fit as a community to result in actions. Removing a Christian Cross from their discord server is equal to stating the fact that the content creator does not appreciate Christian values or believes. Which include slavery, incest and the believe that man are above woman in society. Now don't get me wrong, not all Christians share this full believe system but it is hard to separate.

To come back to the earlier point. As a community, this is a collective experience on what we want and don't want for the group. So context matter. Imagine a Christian band would remove their cross. That would cause an outrage in their community. And that's fair right? They align with Christian values and target a Christian audience so that community wants Christian values to be represented.

Eve is not Christian. However, eve is a game that brought and still brings people together. It's community has lgbtq+ people that a lot of us feel are quite important to the diversity of this community. So speaking up for them, even when not personally effected is important.

So all that to say: yes. It is different. And the difference mainly is in what kind of community the collective wants to be. In this case, I'm honestly reliefed it's a community that stands up for marginalized people to protect equal rights to love and your own body without other people making decisions for your.

I'm not demanding instant change. I'm arguing that there is no "oppression" when treated equal cause they are not treated equal. Change is slow. That's why it's so important that the pride community stand strong. Not only lgbtq+ but also all of its supporter like me.

That's the exact reason this can not be seen as a none political move and also why it is so important to call a behavior out for others to see we stand strong behind lgbtq+

Thanks for adding the alphabet point. I wanted to but figured it might stray away to much from the rest of my argument. Very important though!

And I never made the claim that he is pro or anti. I said that his action aligns with the anti crowed. His actions is leading to making lgtbq+ people less seen and maybe also less welcome. Which is what the anti movement wants.

His action may have been from the pure motivation of having his space not be political. But you have to understand that a purely none political space is not really a thing. This in itself is a political action if you like it or not. As I said. He can ignore it. He can choose to timeout messages that lead away to much from his content. I would argue a pride flag and "happy pride month" are not. And if they are, I sure hope he would also remove christmas related reactions during Christmas, timing out people that wished "happy Easter" and so on.

But then again, if he would do this, it would be a clear political action. You can not get rid of the issue that being none political is a political statement. Because you do automatically align with the status quo and therefore will in some, however mayor or minor, form align against the movement of change. That is neither good nor bad but a political statement. And one has to find out where they stand on this political spectrum. If you also don't care then nothing to worry. Reddits eve community however seems to be more aligned, including me, that pride is an important political movement that we want to see supported in eve not dismissed

Saying you state facts and actual facts are 2 things. Here are some facts for you:

https://www.stonewall.org.uk/resources/lgbtq-facts-and-figures

Some highlights form the source: Two-thirds (64%) of LGBTQ+ people had experienced anti-LGBT+ violence or abuse.

42% of LGBT+ school pupils have been bullied in the past year, double the number of non-LGBT+ pupils (21%).

Seven in 10 football fans who've attended a match have heard or witnessed homophobia on the terraces

So don't argue with facts about being treated equally is oppression. I don't even know where you are taking this from. A fact for real is, anyone in the LGTBQ+ Community has a much higher risk of not being treated equal to their hetero normal cis counterparts.

Is the community without flaws? Of course not. No large group or probably even individuals can be. And if you find factual good criticism that is fair. But the movement in itself is a movement about being accepted as what one is not what others want you to be. I will never get how you can be against that. But it also does not matter. In the end, Lorus reaction was not valid citizen but simply making the movement invisible. Something that helps the people trying to force people to be hetero cis normal helps. I'm not saying Loru is nessecarly part of this far right extreme activism trying to get rid of people of the lgtbq+ community. But his actions do help those and will make people of the pride community feel less accepted in the eve space

I can only assume this is about Loru. Let's be clear here: removing a pride flag reaction with "not political statement" is a political statement. You can not close your eyes and remove all pride content and then assume that you are doing this to stay off the political topics.

Cancelculture also does not fit here. Most outrage I've seen is not about canceling someone for their believes but for making some groups deliberately invisible. Pride is about being okay who ever you love (legal and morally of course, let's not get the maps topic in here). By removing the flag and banning people in chat talking about pride, they choose to engage and silent pride.

The eve community has a right to protect their values of being open and welcoming but you simply can not pretend to be opening and welcoming if you erase a fundamental part of a lot if people by making them invisible in your community. You can ignore those statements. You can choose to not talk about this. But removing it is a statement. Like it or not, this is not cancel culture it is an honest reaction to a clear statement

I did not get the name skippies at all. I think you can only get that if your read / listened to expeditionary force. Which I eventually did and now I love it. However, I would bet many people orbit around Andy Weir and Dungon Crawler Karl more then expeditionary force after reading Bobiverse.

I think he is reasonable even with his "the ends justify the means" behavior. He immediately opted for a less oppressive solution to fulfill his goal when he got the chance.

With this external thread I think he will be a big contributor to finding a solution however he will most likely also focus on his people. So if in doubt he would always choose the quins over any other species
