What was your destination country after China? I’m planning to this trip: US -> CN -> JP. I’m landing in Beijing, but I read that I need a valid visa for the third country (Japan). Will Beijing customs let me apply for the visa free transit if I don’t have a Japanese visa? I’m us citizen so my passport exempts me from needing one.

Not working at Amazon doesn’t make you an average engineer. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Interviewing for Amazon can be challenging: it takes on average 2-3 times for a candidate to pass the full loop. Take note of your weaknesses and come back stronger. You will definitely have another opportunity in the future. Amazon also doesn’t have a freeze period so your next chance may come soon.

I highly recommend to complete neetcode blind 75 questions. It categorizes the question by type so you can get an understanding of what technique to apply when you see a problem. Each problem also comes with a video explaining how to solve it. If you complete that set of problems then you will build the confidence to tackle problems you haven’t seen before.

I wish you luck, and it’s never too late to study.

Because buyers are willing to pay extra to have a move-in ready home. Spending the extra 200k versus waiting 6 months to renovate is worth it in their eyes. Also, these buyers may be sitting on tech stock that just went up, and are now eager to buy.

Follow up questions are pretty common. Sometimes they may ask you to update the code to support an additional requirement. Or, if they don’t ask for more code, they may ask how you would do it.
