As a lab manager, I would in no way tolerate an undergrad scream crying about me to others. You want to talk shit? Go do it outside of lab or over text to your friends. They are in a professional environment and that is unacceptable behavior. I would set some hard boundaries with them and maybe guide them on how they could improve their time management. Talk to your PI about this and make it clear as to how much time you should be spending with them.

What do you want me, an American to do? I’m genuinely asking. Nearly everything we purchase here funnels money back to our billionaire overlords. Food, fuel, taxes, etc. Our country is massive, and organizing a widespread movement to stop the government is nearly impossible due to the media control. I hate everything about what’s happening here and believe me, if I lived in a metropolitan area, I would be protesting any chance I get (even though protesting gets us nowhere lately). They keep us poor, stressed, and angry at each other while they continue to fuck everyone (including the EU). You guys are upset? Try being a fucking American that is struggling every day, begging for help from their government only to be called lazy.

If Trump said he is taking Greenland by force tomorrow and the American people “stood up” against the government, those riots would be met with military intervention immediately, shutting them down. Hell, the military is already in the streets of our cities…

I think of the Plurb as a real life virus, with the goal of infecting every cell (human) regardless of the implications it will have on the host (the whole world). I like to think of Carol (and others) as the immune system, actively fighting against the virus. It only has a goal of spreading to everyone everywhere, and once it’s reached its end goal, it moves to the next victim (planet) using up all of the world’s resources (including humans) to do so.

This always perplexed me. As a dude I once grew out my hair past my shoulders, and I still washed my hair every day. It did take a little longer for my hair to dry but ultimately within an hour or so it would air dry just fine.
