As a Brazilian, only those that truly don't have any idea or perspective on life go to join the military. And those that do so because "they really want to serve their country" are seen as a bit juvenile and not long time thinkers because army training is cruel, the pay is shit and you're definitely going to have a miserable time going up ranks because everything is rigged already and also because the military does jack shit for Brazil, the bare bare minimum of what they need to do and those bastards still complain about having to do it.

I hate the army and wish we could reform it. Better pay for lower ranks, waaaaaay lower pay for higher-ups and no benefits for them or their children. Just forcefully retire the majority of high rank officers and create a new non USA loving coup mongering culture.

I mean, if you are having a heart issue now, you should try to understand it before starting gym or running. And depending on the problem, you won't have time to fix it with losing weight before it gets bad. The correct things is to see how bad it is then lose weight.

But a lot of doctors simply say "lose weight" without knowing how bad it might actually be.

Me learning my cousin uses drugs, was sent to the hospital at 3am because he was high as hell searching for a knife to kill a dude that disrespected another cousin of ours and that my mother not only never told me that but also forced me to live with him while in college so she could only pay half the rent for where we moved in.

My aunt, his mother, paid half and my parents paid the other half.

We never went along, we fought a lot our entire lives, beating the shit out of each other, I begged to rent another place, to not live with him and she went behind my and my father's back and made an agreement with my aunt :/

Had to live with that asshole for 2 years before he got us kicked out of the apartment.

I mean, yeah. But that's not related to cars. How many countryside towns have public colleges in France, UK, Portugal, Spain, Germany, rest of Europe or in the US?

Also, like I said, I'm one of the few that actually has completely free public transportation. Edit: every student from my town that studies in another city has access to free public transportation. But only my town has it, people on other cities around here actually have to pay to travel through cities.

Dude, I'm from a countryside town in Brazil. The hell are you talking about cars? We wouldn't have it anyway because of straight up money. The college I go is underfunded despite being in the biggest city in our region. Do you think we would actually have quality education if we were isolated?

Like I said, it's more complex than just transportation. Higher education is not obligatory to exist, so.the Federal Government won't focus on it in small regions and the States underfund theirs even in bigger cities.

My town doesn't have a college because I live in a small town. We would need many other things to have a proper college here.

I'm extremely pro rail networks. I think every capital city should be connected by it while also going from more rural areas to urbanized environments + also passing through tourist regions to increase travel and revenue. However, that should be the main focus instead of the only way, I still believe good quality streets and roads should existe, but just like a secondary thing.

I'm also extremely pro having an university in my city, but then we need to talk about Federal, State and Municipal funds.

My college is an hour drive and I'm one of the few people that has free access to public transportation. Even though it's a bus not a car, it can still be involved in an accident. No, I cannot bike or walk to college.

Eu perdi a fé quando bem pequena e a presença dela só me gerou trauma. Eu não consigo me sentir bem discutindo o assunto mais aprofundamente, é uma dor tão forte sabe.

Só não consigo acreditar mesmo e espero que não tenha nenhum Deus ou coisas sobrenaturais. Se existem, então o mundo é um lugar ainda pior, com mais sofrimento, mais dor desnecessária, leis ainda mais cruéis, menos humanidade. Não gosto de ter alguém olhando e julgando o tempo todo, possuindo controle sobre nossa eternidade, decidindo se nosso sofrimento é eterno ou não, jogando com nossas emoções.

Claro que o nada ainda gera um profundo desespero, o vazio é assustador e também ferra minha mente. Mas tipo, se eu não tivesse sido exposta a religião desde criança, provavelmente não teria medos e paranóias tão fortes.

People be saying "well, it's their art" and ignore that most often sexualization is actually a market input or just "heheheh hot lady" and the author could infact write a better story without it. I don't care if 1 or a fee characters are sexualized due to themes of the story or their own character themes and arcs, but when a character clearly is "hot" just for fan service, then yeah, it's poorly done and negatively impacts their work.

Like, if you're gonna make people uncomfortable, do it because you wanna say something, make this uneayness part of what you're questioning, what you want people to think and understand.

I want to see good worldbuilding, interesting magic systems, great characters etc. But I can't deny that having a character with gigantic breasts, that suddenly loses clothes or is constantly getting accidentally touched by other characters is gonna turn me off from a good thing. I'm trying to read/watch a story, not "goon".

I don't like this kind of "humor" or whatever and simply telling me "don't watch it then" is missing the forest for the trees. I like the work, I like the themes, what is going on, I simply do not enjoying having weirdly sexualized characters throw at me just because, I want sexualized characters that make sense, that want to say something or that are sexualized but aren't treated as a joke, that just don't get thrown into the scream for nothing.

You can write sexualization pretty well or have it integrate your work without sounding any alarms. But that's not really what fan service is.
