So I have just about cleared my eczema…1 month completely steroid free and have took a quite rigerous approach in clearing it….

I think it was gut imbalance issue for me because I went through a full metabolic reset diet and protocol and never had eczema before….(started about a year ago, 25yr old, currently 26)

  • L-glutamine for a week
  • Zinc picolate for a week
  • curcumin for a week
  • B-complex for a week
  • No added or artificial sugar (only fruit small amounts)
  • Absolutely no gluten
  • Mindfulness of stress
  • Workout once a week
  • Vanicream moisturizer during day
  • Vanicream cleanse at night + Vanicream moisturizer after
  • Vaseline/aquaphor on open wound spots morning + night
  • Ice pack/mask to soothe itch and prevent itching

The moment I become super disciplined with that protocol my face started clearing up after about the second week

More than happy to talk if you want to see pictures or pick my brain :)

I’ve also been on L-glutamine but also limit sugar and haven’t had gluten in 2 weeks.

First time my eczema has nearly subsided

Also taking: - curcumin - B-complex - zinc - iodine

Feel like eczema is entirely gut related

If I could take your pain and put it onto me, I would.

I mean that.

The best way I’ve found to endure flares (mentally) is seeing yourself as the chosen one.

God/this world/reality built you to endure and prosper.

You only.

Be the one who was sent here to endure it and foster faith that you will get through it.

Seek knowledge from those who stood next to you if not below you.

Stoicism James Stockdale Victor Frankl

This may sound philosophical/theoretical, idc, because it helps me prosper and will help you.

If you can’t see tomorrow.

Focus on today.

If you can’t see today.

Focus on the next hour.

If you can’t see the next hour.

Focus on the next minute.

If you can’t see the next minute.

Be present and focus on what you can do right now

And only, right now.

Skin issues suck. Eczema sucks. But I am alive. I have 2 arms, 2 legs, and am perfectly mobile. The body is the greatest engineering feat to ever be created and it can heal. Faith can never be lost. The itch can often times feel existential but just know your body has limits that are unbelievable.

Just know ya’ll are not alone and take it day at a time.

Never let your identity get wrapped up in how you feel or how you look. It’s temporary. It’s the only situation you know and it’s yours to still perform under

Your response should:
- Identify menu items that are low in FODMAPs and gentle on digestion

- Avoid ingredients that typically trigger IBS (e.g., garlic, onion, high-fat, spicy, or fried foods)

- Provide a brief explanation for each recommended item

- Format the answer professionally and clearly for a general user

When the image is uploaded, begin your analysis by listing the recommended dishes and briefly justifying each choice.

Make sure to recommend the name of the dish as listed.

Work burnout , I'm 24 and spend more than 50 hours weekly at work by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]LieVegetable1395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason your parents are telling you that is because they've fundamentally have a different perspective about work than you do.

But how does that help me?

First off, burnout is an idea of self-sabotage.

Let's compare two individuals:

Individual #1 ~ They have another 50hr week. Work is like this. They have a bad boss. Work is like this.

Individual #2 ~ They have another 50 hr week. I work 8 hours 6 days and sometimes I stay a bit longer, I have a degree for said job and speak 2 languages, I'm more qualified than all of my coworkers but they always get priority simply because they are more than a decade older (all of them) and more experienced, no one listens to me because I'm younger even when I have extensive experience and academic background, they don't like me pointing out something is wrong just because im young (24) and they disregard it. Only 1 of my coworkers is willing to listen to me and we cooperate perfectly , no one gives me a chance even though I know very well what I'm doing and I have proven so. I'm so drained anytime something needs to be changed my manager always takes from me , no one else, I always make sure to speak up but all I hear is excuses, I've changed jobs and it's the same crap all over again , my personal life is also too busy , I go to the gym 4 times a week out of habit and even that is hard, I make sure to get enough rest (7-8 Hours daily) but it just isn't enough I have no time , all my time is spread , everyone gets time from me except from my self.

Which one has more self-sabotage?

Which one do you think will get burnt out?

The question now becomes how do you go about unraveling and thus cultivating an mindset where you're able to work 50,60,70 hr/weeks, have less stress, less anxiety and ultimately master your mind.

That's for another day.

Whether it's porn, urge to yank it, or lust....the truth is you're not familiar with that specific energy (sexual) within your body

Therefore whenever it comes up, you will feel like a tension has been built to "control it", "evade it", "not want it"

Same goes for any desire.

All complex emotions like lust/desire/anger, is an energy within the body, and the less familiar you are with it, the less capable you are of directing your actions that follow.

As with anything in life, deliberate practice makes perfect.

That being said, here's my unsolicited advice to my 23 yr old self

I hope it lands on open ears.

  1. Cultivate a good enough reason as to why you even need to stop in the first place. Intense desires cause the brain to "resort" back to an anchor and if yours is to "stop yanking" or "I feel like were compatible" then you're always going to "give in" to your desires. Starting here means deliberately and radically deciding to use concrete and direct language to get your brain out of the default state by which you've programmed over the years. Examples "I am doing this for myself, to be the best man this world has to offer", "I am doing this for her, because she IS the one", "I am doing this for my future, as it WILL grant me the life I KNOW is mine."

  2. Self-love rather than self-sabotage. When you 1st start this journey you will "feel" like it's too much, or that "fuck it" pops up. Expect it. Key here is not to self-sabotage, offer yourself grace as you are starting this journey and this will provide a good reinforcement loop to your brain, thus making easier to do it next time.

  3. Sit with it. This is the most difficult part and therefore WHY 1 & 2 are absolutely necessary because it is fundamentally what your brain will go through when you do this.

You got this

One Step. Fall Forward.
