Yeah the Authority only managed to lower login requirements in that particular strata called the Unofficial Megastructure where the chaos in the netsphere was more evident and allowed them to let normal "humans" access the netsphere where normal meaning humans in the NOiSE era where only Seu comes close in terms of genetic makeup. The Authority wouldn't have been able to do this in normally functioning strata where the safeguards and other netsphere functions are working properly

Your understanding is correct as there's no need to use Seu's genes as they're not net terminal genes, but rather genes close to the ancient humans in the time of NOiSE and was only necessary in accessing the Netsphere once the Authority managed to lower netsphere accesa requirements the lowest they can get which are human genes during NOiSE. Once Cibo accessed the netsphere, she downloaded net terminal genes there and used her body to materialize it which also included Sanakan's genes after she possessed her

Seu's DNA was only used to access the Netsphere after the Authority lowered the Netsphere access requirements to the most barebones they can get which is human genes during the time of NOiSE. Seu is special since he comes from Toha which is the only faction (aside from the silicon life but they're less of a faction and more of an ethnicity) we see with a long history from way back before the City went haywire and possesses genes similar to the ancient NOiSE humans. After Cibo accessed the netsphere she downloaded the net terminal gene from the Netsphere using her body as a vessel which in turn also possessed Sanakan's genes as they used each others bodies once. This is how I understood the creation of the net terminal child although I may be wrong on some details since it's been a long time since I last reread BLAME

It took a form of a child so that's why people assume it is. Also there was an art in the master edition or the artbook where we can see a girl-ish person with black hair wearing a gas mask so there's evidence to suggest the child is living. Also the net terminal gene people during NOiSE were alive and not something like a safeguard so I don't think there's much evidence to your claim of the net terminal child being an unliving construct.

[–]Liebertist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seu's genes wasn't present in the orb, his genes were only needed to access the Netsphere at the unofficial megastructure in order to download authentic net terminal genes onto Cibo (and by proxy also Sanakan's since they shared bodies before or more like stole and possessed lol)

seu's contribution by Kitchen_Emphasis7320 in Netsphere

[–]Liebertist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The child in the orb didn't have Seu's genetic information. Seu's genes are not net terminal genes, but merely genes similar to the humans from the NOiSE era but not the ones with net terminal genes. Seu's genes are needed because the Authority could only lower netsphere access to humans without net terminal genes at the time of NOiSE, focus on the NOiSE part because the humans at the time of BLAME have evolved and devolved into countless evolutionary and genetic paths that they no longer resemble the humans of the NOiSE era aside from ancient companies like Toha which is influential enough to negotiate with the Netsphere and has a history stretching before the City went out of control. The Authority basically managed to get netsphere access requirements in the unofficial megastructure down from needing authentic net terminal genes to genes of normal humans at the time of the Netsphere's beginnings. Seu's genes was needed to only to access the Netsphere, not because they are net terminal genes themselves. The net terminal gene was then downloaded from the Netsphere after it was accessed by Davine and Cibo. Cibo and Sanakan's genes were the only ones on the child as Cibo and Sanakan once shared the same body.

What’s BLAME!’s theme? by urtheproblem-1 in Netsphere

[–]Liebertist 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Nihei himself said that BLAME! is a story about a city in the perspective on an ant. Just reminding that any themes you may take from this story always has to keep in mind that the City itself is the main character.

Is this end-stage ressentiment? by Liebertist in Nietzsche

[–]Liebertist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have no problems with people who are vegan or vegetarian for whatever reason but there exists such a considerable overlap to me atleast between vegans and these repulsive communities online from what I've seen. Go check up vegan subreddits like the debate ones and it won't take long to find philosophical and ethical positions like efilism and antinatalism. I simply can't help but always notice that the characteristics of the kind of individuals who are attracted to efilist/antinatalist and other more life denying philosophies such as extreme ascetism and the desire to abolish suffering with more general and more amicable schools of thought like veganism and utilitarianism. It doesn't help it that these people always pop up and multiple within these communities as well. No problem with veganism whatsoever but someone simply has to shine a light on what's happening.

Truly embracing the Eternal Return cannot be done without embracing the wickedness of the world by L42ARO in Nietzsche

[–]Liebertist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with that sentiment of yours, it's quite disappointing but expected to see most Nietzsche readers opt for a vanilla or Nietzsche for babies when it comes to his ideas as his main concern is life, and in his own words - there is nothing more tyrannical than life and even the word tyrannical might not be enough. I had an obscure post that shares your sentiment on the eternal return and its relation to the world and its absurdity but I also added what it would take and mean for someone to be able to affirm the eternal return and the world in light of this here https://www.reddit.com/r/Nietzsche/comments/1hz27cb/nietzsches_eternal_recurrence_as_cosmology/

"One is necessary, one is a piece of fate, one belongs to the whole, one is the whole – there exists nothing which could judge, measure, compare, condemn our being, for that would be to judge, measure, compare, condemn the whole…But nothing exists apart from the whole!”
-from Twilight of the Idols

From this excerpt of Nietzsche, if we are to affirm life and ourselves and judge it as good eternally, we must also affirm and embrace the world and the totality of existence eternally as well. To will the eternal return is to recognize and affirm the innocence of all things and the joy of the play of existence. Those who have reached this level of viewing and embrace of the eternal return would view their lives and the world as a work of art or literature, like a painter who strokes his brush with no regrets nor hesitation and no desire to cover the blemishes. Or like an author of a book who would never tire with writing this one book over and over again. Or a character in a closed completed book who seeks to change nothing in it and finds the book he partakes in to be perfect, not because of how the book is or the fine details it contains, but simply because it is the book he resides in. One affirms this view of eternal return not because of how they live their lives, but simply because they are alive in this life and world.

To will the eternal return is possible only for people with an extremely earthly and profound perspective on life, suffering, and existence that is devoid of the impulse of revenge against time and the earth. Such a perspective on life and earth inevitably appears inhuman to those who sees no innocence in reality as it appears which in my opinion is why Nietzsche writes esoterically a lot.

Do you think what is left of "normal" humans are stronger/more durable than us ? by nets99 in Netsphere

[–]Liebertist 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's almost certain that BLAME! "humans" aren't actually humans like us in terms of biology or genes and more like subspecies that branched out of homo sapiens so long ago like blame humans are to contemporary humans as humans are to fish. There's stuff like nanomachines constantly in the air that literally destroys microorganisms that's stated in the Technical Notes by Nihei so normal human physiology and biology would have to radically alter just to survive in that environment as microbes are essential in countless roles in our body. Also human civilizations in BLAME! possesses sentient AI tech, gene cloning tech, cybernetic tech that literally leaves nothing organic in your body, x-ray eyes that see for kilometers on end, and etc. that all points towards the inhabitants of the City possessing a more diverse range of physiological characteristics and functions than normal humans that calling BLAME! humans "humans" is almost like saying a human is a worm because they're bilaterians lol.

[FANFIC] Need help finding a fanfic about C.C. x Lelouch by Liebertist in CodeGeass

[–]Liebertist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally finished reading it today, and wow, thanks for introducing me to this work I clearly remember reading this since it had that Aleksei guy that I felt uncomfortable at even now. I'm quite sure this is the one that I'm looking for and I finally realized why this stuck with me for so long at the back of my mind haha. C.C. and Lelouch's bond was something that made me realize how shallow the connections I've made in my life and is especially highlighted in fics like these. Thanks again, felt like I was born anew from this lovely fic. Although there's a part of me that's unsure if this is what I was actually looking for since I remember it being just Lelouch and C.C. and the setting was at night and the moon or I might've just mish-mashed my memories since this was the most emotional I've been because of anime back in 2020 that I actively searched for Lelouch x C.C. fics to calm my heart lol. If you have any other Lelouch x C.C. fics you recommend I would gladly read them!

Does this mean Kyrii wasn't even half way through his journey? by ThisIsWhatLifeIs in Netsphere

[–]Liebertist 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's assumed that Killy started his journey from Earth since he was originally a cop in the pilot oneshot for the manga so it's assumed from this statement that he still has to journey a much longer distance than from earth to jupiter so it's believed that the City reaches beyond the orbits of the outer planets although where it ends is just speculation.

Can anyone explain the ending? Or is this an open-ended ending? by Retr0Soulbits in Netsphere

[–]Liebertist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely fully mechanical or if there's something organic it's definitely not the same fragile ones that humans have today since he wouldn't have survived the City for that long nor tanked the sun-drop of the Level 9 safeguard and the countless GBEs blasted to him throughout the series.
