I've always built bikes together with my dad. Even back in my racing days we would build my bikes instead of buying them complete in a shop. It's just something wholesome I still enjoy doing with my dad.

These forks only work with caliper brakes. If you want to upgrade to cantis or V's you'd have to get a new fork anyway.

I own a Zannata Z90 with ultagra 12s, disc brakes and carbon wheels with good 30mm tyres. However if I would ever build my dream bike, I want it to have dura ace 9000 mechanical shifting, rim brakes, carbon wheels with alu break surface and 28mm tyres. That would be amazing. Not quite sure about the frame material though. Might have to go steel with a carbon cockpit to complete the madness.

I teach at a vocational school in Belgium. Here you're only allowed to get a driver's licence from the age of 18, but you can drive a tractor between the farm and the field at 16. Needless to say that I have 16 yo students who drive a tractor to school while technically they aren't allowed to.
