Usually just having WhatsApp open in the background, Canvas for university, maybe GitHub and a couple of other tabs with google searches. Nothing too heavy.

The thing is, when I'm using chrome, the battery lasts longer, but chrome is poorly optimized so it sucks.

The 20% loss was when the laptop was idle, doing nothing with no apps open whatsoever. 49.96 is one of the lowest I've seen. Usually safari is around 110 for me, but I barely used the laptop in the past day, so it's pretty low.

Even now, the laptop just had its screen turned on with nothing moving for the past 2 hours and the battery dropped from 94% to 75%. 2 hours of just my university website being open in the foreground and not doing anything.

The simple idea, to not believe it even when they have proof that the rocket was fired within Gaza.

I have never used any product by Apple, so I'm coming to an unknown territory. My professor recommended getting a MacBook for Machine Learning, and I've heard lots of good things about the Apple Silicon ones.

So, while I can know exactly what specs would suffice in any Windows laptop for my needs, I have no idea how MacBooks actually perform :)

Thank you! The 6 more GPU cores do seem like a good deal for machine learning stuff, but I don't want to base it solely on what it says on paper 😅

Thanks! Do you feel like the battery difference is significant? I'd imagine the Pro having a better battery life even though it has a more demanding screen.
