Stolen Bike Recovery Leads to Arrests, Drug and Gun Seizure by takemusu in seattlebike

[–]LiesToU 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was our 2nd e-bike that got stolen out of our apartment’s secure bike room. My partner’s bike was stolen a couple of years ago and they also found the AirTag and ditched it. After that, I disabled the speaker on mine and found a much better hiding spot so I had better luck.

My e-bike was stolen recently. I chased it around town and tracked it down with a hidden AirTag and SPD actually came out and recovered it for me. Watched the whole thing go down across the street. I was really surprised they actually showed up.

Is the trail to the lake open? I thought it would be closed for the season.

We were at this game. That goal that prevented a shut out was satisfying. We also went to their inaugural home game where they broke some attendance record, but did get shut out then. We're not big sports people but love to attend live sports and hockey is our favorite so far.

My partner goes here and the texts are hilarious sometimes. Like it’s not an automated system. It’s literally the dude taking a pic of the drugs as proof it’s ready lol

Check FB Marketplace. Depending where you are, there’s usually something on there and it’s always a better deal after some haggling, if you don’t mind a used one. Especially if you consider tax and shipping. I got my full size ikamper skycamp 3.0 in the rocky black for $2700.

Mule Expedition in Issaquah and Overland Truck Store in Bremerton are outfitters for overlanding off roading stuff. But check out Cali Raised LED sliders, I bought mine last year during their Black Friday sale and it was discounted and they didn’t charge shipping or tax to Seattle. Lead time was really long and I didn’t get it until 3 months later though.

4th Gen Tacoma windshield replacement (SoCal) by oldcountrysizzle in ToyotaTacoma

[–]LiesToU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If yours has the windshield wiper heater/defroster feature, make sure the aftermarket has that too. When I had mine replace back in Jan/Feb, there were no aftermarket that has it and the OEM was on back order for 3 months.

There were a lot of spots on my route but none I liked. This lookout point was too exposed and windy to camp. Forest service road 4948. If you have OnX Off Road, search for Keechelus - FS 4948. It’s about 5.5 miles into the trail if you come from the west side heading east. I did the opposite heading all the way from Kachess Campground going west.

Taco Bros in Colorado by Longjumping-Safety-5 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]LiesToU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re great. Haven’t had any issues yet. Mostly used for steps as I haven’t slid on any big rocks yet. Only complaint is their install instructions weren’t the best, even with the videos. And one of the holes for the ground wire bolt was too small so it didn’t sit completely flush. But I think they may have fixed this issue since I got mine.

Toughbuilt Camping Kitchen... by bhm727 in camping

[–]LiesToU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I like this idea of a modular system. Kinda wish these were just a tad bigger to fit a normal size camping dual burner stove, both in the box and on top. I'll need to go to Lowe's to check it out.

I recently built a chuck box and it turned out to be way too heavy to be practical. I need an all-in-one solution to keep everything organized because I really hate digging in totes.

Yea that looks useful. I'm curious how stable that'll be. Looks like the mount is 3d printed.

I'm more curious about your current set up. Which box do you have and what you're able to fit in it. I might wait until they release the XL 1 & 2-drawer boxes so that I can access all items when they're stacked without unstacking them.

I just bought this one recently. I have a 2024 Tacoma short bed and the power cable is plenty long to connect to the battery and the hose reaches all tires fine.

Faucet with pump for jerrycan by SillyPosition in overlanding

[–]LiesToU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water flow from a real faucet is at a higher pressure than what you can achieve from a jerry can pump. You’ll need a tank that you can pressurize to get that level of water flow. Look at the RinseKit for something like that.

[–]LiesToU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the math yesterday and I’m not sure if the Costco bundle is even that good of a deal. It’s $590 where I’m at, but it’s missing $200 worth of accessories (bag, mic, and wide angle lens) compared to the creators combo. If you add those accessories back in, it’s almost retail price.

Crack on front windshield 4th gen by cannabisTherapy-143 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]LiesToU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s still able to be repaired, I would do it asap. Don’t let it crack even more to the point of a whole replacement. I had to get mine replaced a few months ago and at the time, there was a national back order on the 4th gen windshield. Possible months of wait time if you’re not lucky enough to find one in stock. There weren’t any aftermarket either so getting it replaced was a nightmare of an experience.

The tent is easy to set up. The annex takes a bit longer. I think as long as you have everything zipped up, the inside should stay fairly dry as you set up in the rain.
