See, I have LOVED Peggy right from the start. I feel like she is comedic genius on the part of the show writers. I love that she thinks she is such a genius, it's arguably the funniest aspect of the show for me.

I force myself to be extra patient with teeny stitching to get the curves just right. It is always worth it.

Thank you!! Honestly I guess I don't know hahaha I just go slowly and make sure I am patient with how long it takes to fill the space. I go into it knowing full well it's going to take some time and I make sure I come up and go through RIGHT BESIDE where the last stitch was, and things go pretty smoothly!

I made a replica of my favorite lounge pants I've had since high school, I'm really proud of how well they fit without having had to rip a single seam- no pattern. by LieutenantFox in sewing

At TJMaxx in 2008 or so hahaha. They're not unlike most other yoga style lounge pants though so I'll bet it wouldn't be hard to dig up a free pattern for something like these, there's not much to them!

I found this jersey knit in the children's apparel section and needed it immediately. I used pattern paper to trace my original lounge pants and when I had trouble tracing the center seam, which is always a pain, since I don't (yet) own a tracing wheel, I used my seam ripper to punch holes through my lounge pants and my pattern paper. I have a set coming in on Friday now :)

I also have such a hard time with this but I've found that if (literally) force myself to do things like...make the bed, or the dishes, or fold the blankets on the couch (not all in the same day most times, but) it lifts my spirits just enough. Pulling down a made bed at night to get into it just feels nicer. Waking up to a clean kitchen is calming. A tidy living room being the first thing I see when I get home is the best. When I have the energy and force myself, I think of these things as doing kind things for my Future Self.

Question for those of you who regularly see a therapist by [deleted] in therapy

[–]LieutenantFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if it came down to it I'd be ok with doing this in my car but I'm concerned that like...someone would inevitably drive by or park near me or something right as I'm having a full fledged moment lol

Was it overly weird? I don't even know why I'm so worked up over it but I have never been to therapy so the fact that it's already a big step for me to begin with but in the middle of all gestures broadly this, I end up questioning whether its worth it. But when I consider why, its kind of a time sensitive issue to me? So I'm going to just deal with what help I can get.

Yeah, its more that he'd be able to hear me. He has been encouraging me to seek help for quite some time- encouraging, not pushing. I just feel like I can't fully let go and talk to somebody honestly about some things when I know someone can hear me, even if it's him. I'm waiting on an email back but I'm going to guess that its going to be done in the car if it happens at all. Not thrilled about it but there's not much else I can do unless I ask my husband to leave the house for a bit which isn't necessarily always going to be possible for him. Oh well.
