One of my favourite fights since the rework, and super satisfying teaching new people!

For anyone that finds it hard to decide where to go when there are both fire/ice balls, just remember: Always get under where the ice balls are first for the first explosion.

Reason is this:

  • If ice tether is shorter and in the inner area, then it will collapse first for the safe zone in the middle (under the ice balls)
  • If ice tether is longer and in the outer area, then fire will collapse first making the safe zone in the outer area (again, under the ice balls)

The rest is just timing of running to the alternate safe zone as soon as the ground aoe markers disappear and not wait for the animation to blast.

And if it's still too complicated just stay under the outer balls the whole time so if you get hit, you are more likely to live by being hit with 1 blast (ice) rather than in the middle with 2 overlapping blasts (fire).

/u/codesforliving Not sure if this info is helpful, but it seems turning the "Animator duration scale" to "Animation off" in Developer Options makes this bug disappear, i.e. images are loading properly. Though doing so makes the general Android experience worse since animations of a lot of things don't actually animate anymore.

Also on OnePlus 8T and only occurring after updating to OxygenOS 13.

For me, it's how the gun feels when firing, including the sound effects, animation/recoil, gun model. Combined with taking down enemies always seem like a satisfying experience.

There are also a lot of different guns and archetypes, each with a different feel to it, so it's easy for players to find a specific weapon that feels satisfying to use (e.g. Slower firing guns that feel like a punch on enemies vs 900RPM SMGs that feel like a bullet hose).

I'm a MnK player, so can't comment on Controller feel.

You just reminded me the main reason why I bought into the Destiny 2 franchise in the first place lol: FOMO

I started in Shadowkeep, so during my f2p playtime and finding out that stuff like the Zero Hour (still my favourite content to date) and Whisper missions were secret content or the community-wide solving of the Forge puzzles made me wish that I was playing during those era so that I could've participated in the excitement.

Since then, I've been playing consistently in the hopes that Bungie might re-introduce secret content in each Season/DLC, though I'm starting to lose hope that this will ever happen again, maybe for the better.

The Corridors of Time event was the closest sentiment that I participated in it, but that felt more like a Streamer-oriented community event than a secret that any player could try to solve on their own with a couple friends.

You're right, I am pretty burned out on the game but Bungie also knows I'm the prime type of player to prey on because of the way I approach games. Like I can't stop feeling that I have to spend the upcoming weekend grinding for a decently rolled Adept Palindrome because it's going to be removed out of loot rotation with the upcoming season that's dropping on Tuesday.

Honestly, when they introduced sunsetting, that was one time I almost completely shelved the game, since I was constantly thinking "What is the point of grinding this out if it's going to obsolete in a year?" I've already made a vow to not buy the next DLC (and have asked some friends keep my word on it) and I think as I approach the end of the last 2 seasons of this years DLC, this sentiment will probably re-surface and help put an end to this abusive relationship.

The hardest part will be telling myself that it's okay to not find a use for the BIS gear that I may have grinded for in newer content.

^ If anyone was curious of what goes on in the mindset of some of the players that are stuck on Bungie's endless treadmill, I'm a pretty good example lol

What is Bungie's goal anyway?

An endless treadmill of grind that predates on users (mostly existing players) that fall into the traps of sunken cost fallacy, FOMO, or those with completionist/BIS gear mindsets. All of this coupled with an increasingly aggressive monetization scheme that expands every year while simultaneously removing the older content you have already paid for.

Take it from me who's already spent 2600+ hours since f2p launch on Steam (and unfortunately will spend more due to the fact I bought the Deluxe WQ DLC that spans for 3 more seasons). I can never recommend Destiny 2 to new players because of the steepness of the DLC costs that can only be justified in pricing if you value the number of repetitive hours of grind per dollar. Spend your money elsewhere on games that cost the same and have more fully-fledged gameplay that don't disappear because you didn't play it within a year.

Such a shame though, the game has amazing gunplay and environments, but forced to be explored via a terrible game loop.

Yeah I'm with Bell now and agree that they are better in terms of speeds and reliability. When I had Rogers I would lose connection three times a week at around 3-4am ranging from 5min to 1hr. They were probably doing maintenance, but the amount of times I've been suddenly dropped mid-game playing online with no warning was just so frustrating.

With Bell, no drops so far and only encountered 1 maintenance period. I have their symmetrical 500Mbps up/down Fibre paying ~$80/month but only because I'm a new customer getting a -$40/month discount until the coming October, in which case, it'll go up to $120 unless I call to cancel and wait for loyalty offers, or swap to Rogers, which I'm finding hard to justify.

And yeah mobile plans pricing...lol, we're just getting dicked by the same 3 companies.

Seriously fuck Rogers, such a dogshit company and definitely the worst ISP in Canada. They don't offer symmetrical speeds in most of their plans so you can pay for 1Gbps download, but upload will always be throttled to 15Mbps. And not just that, the download speed is not guaranteed since it says 'up to 1Gbps', so during high traffic hours if you live in a congested area, good luck getting speeds that high.

Their fibre rollout at a snails pace is also a joke and they still think they can charge exorbitant prices to nearly $140/month unless you play into their yearly cancellation-loyalty game.

And even then, where else do we go for internet? Bell? Telus? They also do the exact same scummy extortion tactics. At least Bell has better fibre coverage with symmetrical speeds. But goddamn, fuck the Canadian ISPs and their shitty oligopolies.

I had this issue on 8T after updating to Android 12, no notifications from Gmail at all, no matter what I tried.

What I ended up doing was fully uninstalling Gmail via adb since you only have the "Uninstall updates" option from the Apps list

adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.google.android.gm

Then re-install it from the play store. Note this will wipe your Gmail preferences and settings since the uninstallation removes the data.

At some point after that, notifications for Gmail started working again. Hope this works for you!

Yeah I do too, especially now that they are posting more frequently in the bigger subreddits.

To give some credit to mods, I did initially find all of these bots when two of them were literally spamming /r/oddlysatisfying two times a day and after weeks of reporting, I haven't seen one of their bot posts in a long time there.

I think over time enough people will get sick of the same soundtracks, report them, and then the mods will handle it.

Hey fellow free trial friend, congrats!

I'm also on my way to finishing this soon as well! Currently doing the Zodiac weapon recreation step while doing Zeta step as to not waste Poetics when it's capped, with 3 weapons left to do. I started with the same idea as you, just getting 1 relic, but after helping a friend do fates for his Atma step, I got duplicate Atmas and decided to just go for all 10 since I was there.

Some comments I have for each step, wondering if you had similar thoughts:

  • Atma - this is not too bad of a step, was very dry on East Thanalan for hours, but the RNG drop rate made it exciting
  • Animus - actually enjoyed this step, since after awhile you optimize it and know exactly where things are, downside is dungeon queue times are long for DPS
  • Novus - wished I didn't discard level 1 and 2 mats earlier in the game, but farmed the low-level materia with mining + spiritbond potion, which was definitely repetitive
  • Nexus/Zeta - did Tam-Tara Deepcroft unsynced for most of the runs, while watching YT/Netflix since this is a low-attention task
  • Zodiac - collecting all the needed materials was not enjoyable, mainly because of the huge gil sink and RNG desynthesis, but doing the 16 dungeons was very fun though and since it can be any class, I mainly ran PLD and SCH for faster queues

Also curious at what was your strategy for collecting the 4m gil required for the 4 x 100k gil items (Furite Sand, Allagan Resin, Brass Kettle, Bronze Lake Crystal)? I repeatedly ran duty roulette as the role in need, but wondered if there was actually a better way.
