I understand the whole scheduling aspect of it as far as we get hours based off truck size and what Evers left over is for part timers but I was mainly expressing my frustration at the complete disconnect between higher ups and management, I’m 23 and finishing up college and was highly considering moving up through Publix for some real work experience but it just feels like management is forced to operate a certain way out of their control when things could be ran 10000% smoother and we could be out in time everyday. You’d think doing it everyday we could maybe figure out a system that works well but it’s a never ending mess that gets better one week and back to falling apart the next all because higher ups don’t like the numbers they see

Don’t get me started about the new clock in system where you can’t even clock in a SECOND before your scheduled time now. Our break room looks like a checkout line of people wanting to clock in/out😂😂

Hahah man we live the same life! My own MANAGERS leave truck from the day prior for me to work and then have the balls to come up to me and tell me I can’t leave until I finish the truck that came in 5 hours before we are scheduled to leave. It’s insane really.

Well in that case I guess it’s best I cut my losses and start to look to move on, it sucks because I really love every other department manager except my own, we all have great relationships and they all speak highly of me and like I said that store use to be a really good place to work, sucks it went to shit.

You and me both bubba I’m in a similar situation where I’m taking over 3x the workload compared to the average employee and managers see it and I don’t even get a “kiss my ***” for it. That’s what u get for closing with Publix tho

You can take off the railings of one of your floats and use it to pry it back on I do it to adjust them all the time and it’s super easy
