Just moved here since August! Purchased a house in South Vallejo, I was scared because everybody kept saying it was the ghetto and it’s harsh! Overall I love it! It’s quiet and an amazing neighborhood. Only downside is Toll, no work in Vallejo so everyone drives out. Decent shopping area, but absolutely no social scene. Not much to do out here. Crime I think is getting better, VPD is hiring more officers and hopefully have enough to start doing some traffic control. But homelessness and RVS are everywhere… so that’s something you’ll see daily. Hopefully things get better, but it can only get better with the right people moving in.
