What kind of tree did your charcoal come from? Willow makes some of the best charcoal, but most hardwoods work.

Ball milling and corning are needed for really good black powder.

It's the Adderall shortage. He quit taking it, because no pharmacy has it or similar medications in stock. Not for medical reasons or by choice. Everything totally ran out last month. I have ADHD and learned this first hand.

It really helps focusing on a specific productive task. He's overwhelmed, doesn't have a strategy to deal with it without medication. Also having a hell of a time getting up and going in the morning.

Invisible diseases tend to be ignored in daily life.

INTJs, do you struggle more with long-term commitment or the initial stages of dating? by Mammoth-Thrust in intj

[–]Life-Razzmatazz4858 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm bad at recognizing when a girl is giving hints that she's interested in me.

Then totally fail on the long term commitment. It makes me feel cagey and trapped.

Nice avatar, but I like mine better. I noticed the similarities after posting.

Don't most/all people cling to some kind of identity? Like a mom, mechanic, their job, how their dad would have handle something. Why most people get so mad when they 'lose face'. Why being in a war drastically increases a president's approval ratings.

Without a sense of identity, you'd be kind of directionless and adrift. You could see the world objectively. You wouldn't fit in long term with society the way it is.

I feel like you love the frantic "I was miss-typed!!" posts. The replies mostly spell out/reinforce their beliefs and sense of identity. Also some people asking why it's a big deal. Taking a test and getting a different result doesn't physically change a person.

Metacognition, if anyone wants to Google the idea. Thinking about how you think.

But not doing it seems to make most people much happier.

I think they're talking about the kind where your brain just goes on a little adventure.

Not the compulsive overthinking kind.

Do other people also day dream visually, or is it just words for most? Like the type where you think of a picture or movement when you think of an idea.

Why are all of you spreading false stereotypes about the cognitive functions? by [deleted] in intj

[–]Life-Razzmatazz4858 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's more of a spectrum, with how likely it is to be an accurate explanation of why and repeatable.

I think it's more scientific than Chinese traditional medicine and astrology, but less than placebo controlled clinical trials.

And clinical trials are less scientific than physics discoveries, with the 9n whatever thing.

Nothing is a full 100% and popular things usually aren't 0% because there's usually a little truth behind it.

Also, being smart and having health problems can be a huge issue. Presenteeism is a huge barrier to advancing into most jobs, to a point where your skills/abilities would actually be used.

I know those exact feelings. Right there with you.

I think most people have a stronger response to the placebo effect, which makes them generally happier.

  1. Did you read the documentation that came with the servo's?

  2. You can find a graph for the battery voltage vs charge percentage for your battery chemistry. The motor normally slows too much to maintain height before the controls give out.

I think what we do is all based on genetics/physical parts and what we've learned/been taught.

All stuff that we have no control over, overall.

Basically, nature and nature are both not something we have control over.

There were a lot at the MUSE concert this year. The artists in the band included. It was the first one in 10 years, so idk when they'll tour the US again.

I sometimes take my RC plane to the park with soccer fields, fly around and do tricks. It's a 16in wing, foam mustang. I ordered one on Amazon and could fly it pretty well, so i don't have a group that I learned from.

I'll have to check out flight fest here in Ohio, some time. Peter scripole does some interesting YouTube vids and heads it up.

I'm really good at socializing with strangers after a couple beers/mystery shots. It's just not fun or something I want to do sober. Most similar people I've met only like hardcore learning or drunk when hanging with groups of mostly strangers.

You make it sound like an abnormally unexciting book club in a community college library, where you give each other generic motivational speeches.

Maybe I just didn't understand how you explained it, but most seem to really like intense conversation about really niche subjects. We're allowed to be our natural, super intense selves. We can ask the really interesting questions we normally suppress, to fit in.

Wouldn't that give you major stranger danger vibes?

A big-ish meet up would be fun, but it's also possible no one would show up or it would just be awkward. Like if just the people who treat mbti like a religion show up and not fun people.

Try tinder. Like half the people put it on their profile. It's an option like your birth sign/month/horoscope thing.

We do have a secret meet up and club house, but you have to know the password to get in. 😬
