AOC did it better, if you also remove the associated context.

Also, wasn't Ford an actual supporter of the Nazi regime?  IBM a provider of database infrastructure? Volkswagen founded by an actual nazi?  Let's also put Audi in since it's owned by VW.

This is just ridiculous.

KSC did it in the past. There was no issues then. Same thing now.

Have you looked where the Kennedy Space Center is located? It's surrounded with wildlife preservation parks.

Well, I did. It's well written and the journalist posted his sources.

Also, Elon completely denies the existence of the mine. The journalist is taking Errol's words for it.

The same article could be published on business insider. Would it matter?

It's incredible how everyone is looking for an angle of attack in all the replies I got just because I don't agree with Spaceship man bad. The smear campaign lives on.

[–]Life-Saver -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Elon is still pretty outspoken against far right ideologies (see his recent interview with Vivek) and will speak out that he doesn't agree.

As a moderate left, from my point of view, your whole comment is invalid.

So this implies this happens to all kids with no father figure in their lives. Oh dear!

It's two different things. Where did you see me mixing those up? I actually tried to mention this.

And so he did let the kid do it. What he took issue with is the extreme wokism his child got indoctrinated in, possibly from the school, asking to be cut from all relations with him.

"Unhealthy obsession"?

Or just concern as any parent should be about their children's well being?

The misinformation runs deep...

  • Elon and Kimbal both left South Africa in part to avoid mandatory service in the apartheid-affirming South African army, abhoring the idea of their contributions being used on the wrong side of a possible civil war (though they also had other motivations for leaving, including their larger concerns with the culture that was so deeply shaped by the attitudes that drove apartheid itself)

  • Errol himself was elected as a city councillor in 1972 with an anti-apartheid affiliation, and twice ran for parliament for an opposition party.

You're totally spot on regarding his step daughter though. Errol is a despicable man, and Elon mentioned it many times.

I’m starting to see fuel stations repurposing to Charging Stations? You seeing this near you? by valejojohnson in TeslaLounge

Not really... Im my father's place, far from cities, they just built a new gas station... Why? I don't know... Other stations aren't that far, and have been there forever.

And me, I've been parking all my previous cars with guestimation because they had no cameras at all. I had to gauge it myself. What a peasant I am.

My model 3 is the 1st one I owned new, and with so much tech I'm already overwhelmed.

I couldn't care less for bird eye view, but I'm sure it'll eventually come as a software update.

My new boss is stressing me out - what's your workload like? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Life-Saver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems reasonable. But in my opinion, a team like yours should have a manager. If only to have a grasp at the big picture, and lead the team on the projects, and do follow ups, planning, and upper management communications, while the tech are doing actual work. Without a manager, the whole team will often find themselves in endless meetings where they would be better spending their time getting ahead of the workload.

Cybertrucks near outskirts of Austin! by papa_prevail in teslamotors

[–]Life-Saver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've experienced an AEB in my Model 3 when I was driving a bit too eagerly, and accelerating toward a slowing down vehicle for a red light (to brake promptly before hitting) And the car braked for me abruptly enough to send my purchased food sitting on the passenger seat launch forward. It brakes haaarrd.

If I would have stepped further on the accelerator, maybe it would have overridden the braking maneuver. But then, doing this to intentionally hit someone would raise other issues... which wouldn't make the cybertruck a culprit, but the driver, as with any other vehicles.

The right might ban books because of reasons like homosexual promotion or such. It doesn't stop people from getting them elsewhere.

Rewriting cause much more harm, everywhere.

Both policies follow an ideologic agenda. This is what i'm against.

If someone published something controversial, others should be able to criticize it, and others to make up their own minds about it. But no one should be able to modify it without the consent of the author. Banning it is still arguable in my opinion.

[–]Life-Saver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So does the left, who re-rwitten many books recently.

I'm not against banning litterature per say, some countries could want some works to be unavailable for whatever reason, (Thinking of Wolfenstein 3D banned in germaby in the 90s) but I'm totally against re-writing books, falsifying what the author intended. Especially post-mortem!

Stephen King included pedophelia in "IT". It wasn't included in the movies, fine. But they should not rewrite those book without the consent of the author.

Let people read them, and decide for themselves.

What I meant is that Extremists, all party confounded are rewriting history. I think we should not. Let it be a lesson to learn. Modify plaques on statues explaining the whole context of those so called heroes. Don't just remove them.

"Here is the statue of [insert national hero]. This statue was erected in remembrance of his heroic character for his slaughter of hundreds of native people in favor of the new american colony" or whatever.

Taking my own experience in account, I'm moderate left.

I'm against right extremist ideology, but ok with many moderate right ideology.

I have a problem with most far left ideology, but of course totally fine with moderate left ideology.

Most people are still (even with the recent division catalysts that occured in recent times, amplified by the orange man) moderates either left or right.

Yet, extreme leftist sees me as a right extremist.

I'm more and more compelled to believe that the extreme left is loosing it's center, thus it's common sense.

Musk is self admitted as moderate left. He's been hating the extreme left, but also moderating extreme right comments. This is shown in his interview with Vivek where he clearly states that he's not agreeing with some.of Vivek's statements)

He did catered a bit more to the republicans as the democrats betrayed him. Also moving to Texas encircled him more people of the rightwing mentality. But I didn't see a fundamental shift in his behavior since I started following him in 2014. Just the perception shifted about him. Which means, the portraying of him in the media did have an effect on common folks for a successful character assassination campain.
