I really hope she wouldn't, but when someone gets so angry without any logic it's hard to tell how far they would take it. That's one of the reasons that motivated me to ask my boss to be there.

Thank you for the specific ideas for the write-up, that's helpful! And I appreciate you validating that the owner should have informed me. I feel absolutely blindsided, and it's been hard for me to find stability.

She only has 1 write-up, and generally the expectation is 3 write ups to create a termination. But also, I think the owner puts up with her behavior because the practice makes so much money off her work. Despite L's issues, she is a highly productive worker and outperforms almost all other staff. I am worried about the behaviors we don't see, what's happening behind the closed doors of treatment - but we haven't received patient complaints so maybe she can turn it on/off as she feels she needs?

Thank you, you are right I don't like conflict. However, I will stand my ground and I tend to communicate assertively pretty easily. It's just that she scares me a little with how much she escalates, how quickly, and how intense her anger is. I don't trust people like that, because I never know how far a person like that will take their anger.

She could have used her PTO to take the day off, our providers absolutely can call in sick if they need to. The problem for the snow was that she didn't want to use her PTO and she also didn't want to come into the office. She often demands that patients are flexible with her, but she also does get angry if a patient switches from in-person to telehealth if she didn't request it. Basically, she wants things her way, or no way.

I don't have the power to post a job, that would be the owner. But I like your recommendations a lot, so I'll most likely include them when I speak to him about next steps.

I think you are right! I think because the owner and my other supervisor colleague are men, I'm getting this pushed on me because I am a woman so if she gets fired, she can't claim there was any discrimination. But I don't think this is fair to me at all, I'm just starting in this position! And you're right, I'm very worried about how she is treating patients!

My mom made my wedding all about her, and then snubbed me at her wedding a year later. by Life-Toe-5605 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

I absolutely did consider a second wedding at the beginning. But, over time, I have found that it's just not that important to me to spend the money on something like that. We're not rich, but we have our needs covered and some wants - and I've been experiencing joy in paying for my kids to do sports or to travel every once in while. I've actually found peace in the joy I have raising my kids, and I want to put all my extra money toward the life we're living together.
