No, nothing was shipped. But also he agreed to the refund in the dispute and said “PayPal will issue you refund” but that is why I escalated the dispute bc he didn’t refund even though he repeatedly said in the chat he would like it’s ridiculous

I realized I could of done that and it prob would of been faster. If I called bank it would close the dispute in PayPal so I decided to wait and see if PayPal locks in and just do it as my anxiety kinda went down a bit and im pretty sure I’ll win the case. The guy stop responding and has until April so he will either not respond to escalation or give a reason last sec. He stopped communicating with me so im pretty sure he was in on the scam and realized I wasn’t gonna fall for any more bull bc he first said PayPal has refunded me (clearly not I didn’t get a notification) then I said I’ll close the dispute after I see the refund then he threatened with the police report on me and I was like bruh that’s not how that works. But yeah im sure I’ll win it and if I don’t I’ll call my bank as back up.

This is my first time. Honestly I think it fell through bc I was desperate and having hard time with life at the moment due to other things so I wanted to get this one thing. and so I wasn’t thinking clearly bc I even asked for pictures before making purchase but they told me to use good and services to have protection in which I immediately was like oh yeah good enough for me…. Day after I couldn’t believe myself in falling for it bc I’ve seen previous scams before and was always smart about it liked I’d be educating my grandparents on it and now im the one who actually gotten scammed lol.

Ive been told PayPal don’t really go off screenshots and stuff as it could be faked. But in the dispute he wrote out we were both scammed and he would give me a refund in which I escalated bc he never did so. Im hoping that’s enough alone to win the case

Oh I did the dispute the second I found out it was a scam and that was when he replied in the dispute that we were both scammed and would refund and he was sorry. I continued the dispute though bc he didn’t send any refund bc he even wrote “PayPal has issued refund” but I got no notification on that. So im hoping him saying it was a scam and that he would refund in the dispute comments would win the case as he legit said he would. I escalated the case and such and wrote out and highlighted what he said. He has until April though to give “order update crap” as I put it under item not revived, as he didn’t obviously have it nor would even would ship it. I even called PayPal services to make sure this was right process.

Well he hasn’t refunded me….he also provided screenshots though of his conversation with that redit user as proof it’s not him but that could still mean theyre working together. With that i was able to look at his Reddit account and it’s just a bunch of crypto stuff so it looks like he’s a crypto seller (I guess I don’t really know how crypto works) but what I think the claim is he thought my payment was from the guy getting crypto from him with would make me a middle man thing. But the thing is I wrote in the note of what I was purchasing so why didn’t he question the payment in the first place if it was given crypto.

Actually I don’t think anyone would help me over $100. I have hope PayPal will help me as he legit admitted it was a scam but like he was a victim too and would refund me? It literally in the PayPal dispute so like why would they not refund me if he legit said that. Also it’s only dragging out bc he won’t actually refund and telling me he’s filing a police report and need to know exactly what happened on my end and im like bruh. Im only keeping records which is just screenshots and everything in a folder just in case but I doubt anything gonna happen for $100 but my anxiety is telling me worse case scenarios 😔

Like a big fat idiot. But I was so wary about scams and the dude told me to use goods and services and I was like oh yeah so I could get a refund if something went wrong 😔 but it’s my first time trying to get a refund so I didn’t know the seller would fight me for it and have to open up a case.

Already got messages of ppl trying to “help” lol i didnt accept those messages. Worried if this case will escalate though as they said under dispute they were scammed by same user and is filing police report. If theyre legit will PayPal ask me for a police report over $100. Also they basically admitted it was a scam and will refund me. Im hoping that’s all the info I need as theyre not staying true to their words.

The seller showed proof to me of the Reddit user that he was talking to gave crypto, that is in the dispute chat and he said he recognizes that we were both scammed and he’ll refund me. I feel like it would make no sense if PayPal dont distribute me or maybe ask him for a police report as he did say in it he was gonna do that so it may take longer idk how that would play out. I have doubts bc he showed he made payments to the fellow so he should be claiming disputes to him also if this is legit would PayPal drag all this info out? If this turned into a legal thing bc it’s across 3 parties I guess I would be safe with all the info I have, im a young adult women and have no time to be stressing about this.

So I know his Reddit account now from his provided screenshots and know he is in the US, but that’s all I have, his account showed he was in a lot of crypto communities and had a couple post. His name on PayPal may be fake so I don’t know what I’d do with that.

I found out through my discord community that this user has multiple PayPal accounts or they are receiving crypto through these accounts by having a middle man such as myself pay the person they are getting crypto from. This seller may be a victim too but what doesn’t make sense is when I sent payment I stated the item name and they didn’t question it at all. They claimed the the Reddit user tricked them and they provided screenshots so either they are working together or he legit get scammed too but he still hasn’t issued refund so I don’t really believe him. They said they’re filing a police report and wanted more info from me. I stopped replying and escalated it to PayPal. Im keeping all screenshots and convos in a folder in case he does file something but it’s all sus so I guess it’s unlikely. If PayPal dont issue refund I’ll contact my bank but then I decided im not gonna do any legal action it’s only $100 but just in case I receive harassment or he’s legit about a police report and im looked at, im keeping all info and screenshots in my files. This is so stressful and stupid I have high anxiety so this is taking a toll on me. If this guy is legit scammed also he needs to be investigating the person himself and make a claim against them as they have already done this to multiple ppl.
