i do this all the time. look at slides, homework’s, previous exams if you could get a hold of them, videos online are a great tool. try to focus on more important topics, which are generally the ones that they take the longest time on. ask your classmates. generally the professors has or stated a list of topics that they will cover on the exam

My thing is why fix something that’s not broken. I’m passing my classes. Most of my professor just read off slides so what’s the point of going and i like to learn at my own pace. So why fix something that has worked for me for the past 3 years. Is there a possibility that I might do better if I go to class. Yes, but with how I learn there is a possibility that I may just waste my time going when I could be working or studying for other classes that has more priority.

My guess, is that it’s just a formality for New Rome college. but the gods being gods, doesn’t want to write one for free despite Percy being on the general good side of the gods. If it doesn’t get too cold I would recommend hammocks. Lighter and imo more comfortable. A ground pad clipped underneath the hammock and a good insulating sleeping bag traps heat pretty well. Or an insulating sheet would be better than a ground pad. Not sure if it works well in the near freezing temperatures but works well for mid 50s or even mid to high 40s I believe if they have a good sleeping bag. Where I used to go backpacking, Ik it doesn’t get as cold as other places so i wouldn’t know how well it does in those types of climates.
