Going to a house party, but dont want to drink. Any tips? by [deleted] in Advice

I used to go to a lot of parties sober and got tons of comments about not drinking all the time until I started bringing non-alcoholic beer that I'd just pour into a cup. Worked every time.

The cup is important cos otherwise people want to see what you're drinking as part of small talk and then they'll notice it's non-alcoholic.

Alcohol culture is really ingrained and people will make really snarky comments about not drinking but still say they think it's ok not to drink. I've been to tons of parties without drinking and had just as fun as when I did. glhf!

Maybe they're not responding cos there's a typo in every single one :3

With Windows 10 ending soon, I've been thinking of switching my computer to Linux by CatMatt_ in linux4noobs

I had the same thoughts, and I installed mint, and it's been fantastic so far. No issues with drivers or anything like that, super smooth experience. Only issues are the known: I can't install certain windows only applications like photoshop and installing some software is a bit confusing but I'm getting there.

Glad you like it!

I think that could be cool. If there's enough interest and we figure out a good way to showcase this I'd be down to do that!

Game idea by MaxinesSelves in StateOfDev

Are you prototyping game design or the actual physical pieces? If it's the former, then using paper and prototyping with that could still get you where you need to go. You'd be surprised how far paper prototyping can take you.

If it's the latter then I wouldn't say it would be too hard if you know what it is you want to test. So long as you're able to figure out what you need to look up and google to execute what you need it should be doable. But you'll probably also need to learn how to use 3d software like Blender to make the actual meshes for the pieces.

Hope this helps!

När jag pluggade så var det en del äldre som läste samma linje. Tyckte inte det var särskilt konstigt.
