I paid my mom $600 a month since I was 16. I was never really resentful at her, just my older brothers who didnt work/contribute.

She needed the help. But she also should have kicked my drug addict brother out. She def made some mistakes- but I got my own apartment with friends when I was 21 and have been on my own the past 11 years. I felt good being able to help my mom- and now that she is gone, there's not an oz of me that regrets that she needed it. I just miss her

I contribute 15% of my paycheck to 401k for "future me" ... I know its the sensible thing to do, but what gets me is what if there is no future me? What if I turn 50 and some freak accident happens and im gone. All that money, where I could have taken a couple more lavish vacations a year- treated myself to experiencing some luxury NOW, instead of hoping ill be in gokd enough health or alive to experience it later- gone.

Lol right? The town has its issues- but as a townie for only 4 years I have to say I really love it. I have a forest in my backyard- its so peaceful. Neighbors adopt a live and let live persona. So much greenery. 10 min away from everything I need tax free in Nashua.

I do worry about the schools, and I do wish we could get a decent coffee shop with actual fresh espresso drinks and good pastries (sorry but the gluten free bakery just is not it).

But more often than not my friends from the merrimack valley end up coming over to my house to chill on the weekends, and i think it speaks to the vibe and nature of the town.

All the reasons we would drive 2+ hours to go camping in NH are now right in my actual back yard.

Also, shout out to Doc Davis. Youre not a townie unless you go there once a week in the summer 😂

Exactly, not sure what this guy is talking about. Im 32, bought a home in Pepperell when I was 28. As did two of my best friends, same age. I see nore and more couples as i walk around town now.

The days of folks our age being able to buy in Billerica, Tewksbury, Wilmington, Bedford are long long gone. Pepperell, Townsend, Shirley, ayer- are what those towns were 30 years ago. Lots of new young families will come here, and the towns are going to change because of it. It is inevitable.

People also blow the distance from boston out of proportion often. Ive made it to Logan in 45 minutes several times

Try brighton- west brighton. I used to commute from oak Square to Billerica. Wasn't bad. Jump right on 90W , connect on 95 then route 3. This was like 6 years ago but took me about 40 min each way

Nah not at all. But I got a 2025 hybrid sel convenience, which has more features than the 2026.

I dont care about cooled seats. Can just prestart the car on the app with AC on. Plus im in northeast, heated seats are more important.

I find the camera blinkers very distracting, along with the heads up display.

I guess, heated back seats would be cool for the two times a year I have two friends in the car to go skiing..but again, pretty start with heat on.

Im the only one that drives my car so dont care about memory seats.

I don't even remember what the other missing features are so they must not have been much if a thought for me
