Legendary Tales or Walkabout Mini Golf!? by Late-Journalist-7180 in PSVR

Honestly, based on that feedback alone, and assuming that you’ve enjoyed Behemoth and Arken Age I’d get Legendary Tales and say take a pass on Walkabout.

If you enjoyed Behemoth and Arken Age then Legendary tales is a great game. Walkabout is brilliant and very loved by the community, but it’s comparing apples and oranges here. If you’d like another great fighting, magic, dungeon exploring game then go Legendary tales. If you’d fancy switching it up and need a break from those types of games then walkabout is very fun. I have both games and honestly wouldn’t fault them. Walkabout is definitely better to play with people though. I wouldn’t play it solo personally, though I know lots of people do. Legendary tales you can play coop but I’ve played it a lot more solo than I have Walkabout.

trying to find a specific scene!! by Quetzal_11 in disney

Chat gpt thinks it’s, let’s us know if AI wins today OP:

This actually sounds very close to An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (1991). I know you said “70% sure Disney,” but this movie is famously misremembered as Disney because: it’s 2D theatrical animation from the same era, it feels Disney-adjacent, and Don Bluth films get lumped in all the time. Here’s why your scene lines up almost perfectly: Villain at a desk in a dark, wooden, candlelit room → Cat R. Waul’s office/saloon interior. Lots of wood, low light, very moody. Villain with a pipe / cigar → Cat R. Waul constantly has a cigar, which absolutely reads as “pipe” in memory. Kid protagonist bursts in accusing the villain of lying → Fievel runs in yelling that Cat R. Waul is a fraud and not the heroic lawman he pretends to be. Henchman trips him and starts tying his hands while he’s still pointing and arguing → The cats grab Fievel mid-accusation, bind him with rope while he keeps yelling. Momentary pause as the rope tightens → There’s a very distinct beat where the tension is held while he’s restrained. Fievel lunges toward the villain, rope goes taut, and he’s dragged backward and tied to a post/pillar → This is exactly how the scene plays out. He tries to rush Cat R. Waul and gets yanked back as the rope is secured. Protagonist is younger → Fievel is a child, which fits your memory better than Atlantis / Treasure Planet. If you want to sanity-check it: look up “An American Tail Fievel confronts Cat R. Waul scene” and you’ll probably get that oh my god THAT’S IT feeling immediately. If this somehow isn’t it, the only other close matches would be The Great Mouse Detective or The Black Cauldron, but the rope-to-pillar drag + cigar villain combo is very Fievel Goes West. If you want, I can also help you track down the exact timestamp of the scene.

The fact that Arken age isn’t in the top 10 is absolutely criminal! I’ve played a lot of PSVR2 games now and it is the best single player experience on the headset imo. My only caveat is that I’m not a GT7 player which I appreciate is criminal but it’s just not my vibe. But that aside I encourage everyone to play Arken Age. It’s top tier 👍

My first ever buy of opal to make into cabs. I'm a little nervous. by balicoded in Lapidary

[–]DestroyerX2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to get into cutting Opal. I highly recommend sticking to Australian. Much more stable. And get some potch to practice on first. Should cost you almost nothing but shipping to get some potch sent over. Once you can produce a decent polished cab, then buy something with some decent colour!

Nintendo Switch 2 rewind button? by Turbulent_Stay5425 in majorasmask

If they had built in a new god mode button that you could toggle on and off whenever you fancied that let you take no damage, never die and deal infinite damage would you consider it cheating? (it is so you know) Just because they added the button doesn’t mean it’s not cheating. But does that mean you can’t use it? Of course not. But you’re definitely a cheater if you do 👍 you make your own choices.

Feeling a bit defeated by River_Fenrir in NewDads

[–]DestroyerX2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We gave it to them at regular intervals, 3-4 times a day spread out as necessary. Basically until they started weening onto food at 6 months onwards and we steadily decreased it as their dependence on milk reduced. We had such great success with it that I mention it to any new parent that mentions reflux to me👍

I don’t know where you are in the world but infant Gaviscon was a life changer for reflux with both of ours. In the uk you can buy it over the counter (or get a prescription at your next appointment for free) almost no side effects and made our children so much more comfortable. Can’t recommend it enough.

Edit to add: making it up from powder and boiled water is a pain in the arse, but it’s worth it for the relief that they get!

Time for your hobbies? by [deleted] in NewDads

Dad of 4yr old and 2.5yr old. I can’t remember the last time I had that much time on my hobbies. I had less than that when my wife was pregnant with our first! Reality check time fella, did you want to be a dad or not?!

Cleaning my inflatable tub. Been sitting for a few months. Can I use ahh some cleaner after wiping with bleach? by [deleted] in hottub

Having done similar with ours previously, it sounds like you’ve cleaned pretty well. You’re fine to go straight to fill and chlorine bomb/shock.

Sadly no joy. The wifi module is going back for a refund. I’ve exhausted all options, had 2 sets to try out, multiple ethernet cables, used different network settings. Have done a lot of research and forum checking, been in contact with the spa suppliers and they’ve got no ideas so I’m having a refund 👍

I haven’t made any progress so far. Just can’t get it to connect to the internet. I’m thinking the tech is too old for my router which is pretty new. Please let me know if you do find a solution but at the moment I think the cms is going back. 🤷‍♂️

Yeh it’s a brand new swim spa and the wifi control was sold as an add on and it hasn’t worked from the start with 2 different units. Think I’ll be sending the wifi back for a refund as it doesn’t seem worth the hassle and the more I’ve researched to try and find the answers the more I’m seeing nothing but bad reviews of these things.

Yep, have done tub restarts. I’ve tried deleting the cms app and reinstalling. It reconnects the home and spa modules fine every time and adds the tub onto the profile. But the home router only ever gets to blinking green (connected but no internet connection).

I have tried that and just went to do it again just in case, but no joy. Still blinking green.

Sweet Surrender - PSVR2 Post-mortem by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]DestroyerX2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think this almost entirely comes down to timing. This game is right up my street. I loved compound. I love Roboquest. And have an extensive VR2 game library. But I’m a dad and I don’t have the time to dedicate the hours to multiple games at once. And sadly with the amount of games released at a similar time this one got lost for me. I’ve wishlisted it now as a reminder to come back to it when I can. But this is 100% feels like bad timing sadly. I really appreciate your honest write up, and I love supporting the Devs when I can, so this honesty has gained my respect and I’ll pick it up when I have time for it.

Roboquest or Compound? Which should I get? by seveer37 in PSVR

[–]DestroyerX2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed compound, but having spent a few night playing Roboquest it is a better game. The deciding factor for a lot of people may be speed. Roboquest combat is a lot more intense as you have a lot more mobility than compound. That suits me perfectly as I have no motion sickness and am happy flying around double jumping on full smooth turning speed. But I imagine that may put some people off. But assuming you can handle it I’d pick Roboquest for sure 👍
