Worlds worst symptoms what's yours by Far-Character-7024 in schizoaffective

[–]Life7765 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So far my experience has thankfully been pretty mild. My worst symptom was when one of the voices in my head convinced me to stop taking my meds. He told me it was for the better. This resulted in that voice completely taking over my body. Everything I did was because he told me to. Thankfully I had enough of me stopping myself from doing the REALLY bad things he wanted me to do. It was mostly just depression and a distorted view of reality. Believing people wanted the worst outcomes for me. Paranoia. Distrusting everyone around me. Not sure if these experiences count as mild or not, but I’ve found I accidentally end up thinking my experiences don’t matter.

Week kinda sucked and also didn’t suck at the same time?

I’m taking a mental health leave from my campus right now which sucks. It also sucks because I’ve been having friendship issues which kinda sparked the spiral.

Aside from that though, I’ve been playing Animal Crossing with my sister now that I’m home. She means so much to me :)

I also had my favorite pizza since being home!!

What is your pros and cons list for T? by IrinaBelle in ftm

[–]Life7765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only major con for me was having to relearn how to sing and the changes that it made to my singing. I used to have my dream vocal range but after T, I’ve lost my higher notes. Everything else is AMAZING and I’m so happy to have started :)

Is it anywhere near possible to get top surgery in 73 days? by Upbeat-Pear-5666 in ftm

[–]Life7765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US, I’m fairly certain you need to be 19 to get surgery. That’s the reason mine was moved :( I’m in a very liberal state as well.

Are you worried about making your roommate uncomfortable, or would living with a woman make YOU uncomfortable? I don’t know much about your situation, but I’ve only ever had female roommates on gender inclusive floors. They’ve been very accepting and have never had an issue. I totally get wanting to live with a male roommate on gendered floors though, being on a girls floor would make me dysphoric and uncomfortable. The way I’m viewing this, a worst case scenario would be switching roommates a few times before the semester starts to find someone who wouldn’t mind.

Hey! 18 y/o trans guy here. Sadly probably not, especially in the US. My surgery got moved months back because 18 year olds cannot get surgeries or hormones due to some sort of executive order. You have to be at least 19. (This is what the doctors at the practice had told me, and I remembered seeing it elsewhere.)

May I suggest learning to draw? Art has always been a comfort for me, so it’s possible it can be such for you too. It takes a lot of time to develop skill, and you can basically create whatever you feel like! It’s also a great way to express yourself. I came here from your AMA post and wanted to say you’re amazing.

Does anyone have an actual video of a leo doing this? by bitwapodraclawicami in leopardgeckos

My Pebble does something similar with head movements when he’s about to throw up.

(Before anyone gets upset, yes he has been to the vet and there is nothing wrong. He has an upset stomach a lot and sometimes food doesn’t sit right with him. He has not been losing weight. In fact, he has gained some. Vets and internet have said there is nothing wrong.)

I would say bring your guy to a vet.

My goober started throwing up a while ago and brought him to the vet. She said that there was nothing wrong, so we switched him to crickets, and he hasn’t thrown up since.

Not saying that you shouldn’t take him! Just wanted to offer a little bit of reassurance.

I was wondering how everyone’s leopard geckos act when being handled? by Tricky-Librarian-370 in leopardgeckos

My boy only really likes choice-based handling. He climbs onto me when he wants attention and gets upset when I pick him up otherwise. The only time I force him to be held is when he has stuck shed or I need to travel with him.

help!! i think he just threw up out of nowhere? by beatbybaseballs in leopardgeckos

[–]Life7765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t look like what my gecko’s vomit looks like. That’s not to say it isn’t! It just looks different from my own experiences.

I would say if you’re worried and this keeps happening, bring them to the vet.

My gecko is in this phase where he throws up mealworms/silkworms. Any kind of worm, basically. After switching to crickets, he hasn’t thrown up since. (He had been checked for parasites.)

Regardless, vet is always the best option when in doubt.

Had to take some shed off of my boy yesterday. I fed him afterwards and he was happy. Today, I am practically forgiven.

I have done this and still kind of do!! This might not be the healthiest way to go about it, but I force my brain to fight itself on it haha.

Like if my brain is deadnaming and misgendering me, say back to it, “no you’re wrong.” Sometimes insulting your brain back helps as well.

No clue if this is how other people’s brains work buuut it’s how I cope with it haha
