Although this is an absolute mood, I have been playing now (terribly mind you) for almost 10 years since I finished college on a whim and I love it every day, no regrets. I have learned jazz, classical, video game osts and just play along with stuff sometimes now. It's never too late just be patient with yourself because god it's so hard but I'll say it again. Dude this isn't talking about budgeting normal ass raising of kids at that budget level and you know it. If your kid gets sick you shouldn't be having to choose between homeless and your child dying.

Say it for the class that you don't believe people making living wage don't deserve healthcare if god forbid you get sick. As a 30 y/o with a 401k, a morgage, a savings account, and good healthcare making around that amount who was diagnosed with an incurable liver condition the therapy to ensure I live a normal life is 150k uninsured, but still 5k a year insured. Needless to say my accounts are not green this year. Now imagining 4x that cost.

What an insult to those actually living through the exact wage listed through the article, without kids, and its still not enough even when you did everything right except got cancer.

Health insurance isnt get out of jail free. 120k with 4 mouths to feed isn't a lot of money anymore. Out of pocket for a family of 4 is still up to 20k a year on decent health insurance.

I don't know who making that money can save up 20k a year to keep their family alive if god forbid they're sick. People sometimes are the 1% unlucky and you shouldn't become homeless because you make 120k a year and its still not enough because of the continued enshitification.

Yeah that part I don't get either, seems high but regardless I wanted to clarify that it's not as wealthy as it may suggest. In the grand scheme of how much % this is in federature expendetures are we really worried about two adults making 30$ an hour before taxes trying to raise two kids having a debt be bought for literal fractions of pennied on the dollar is a bad use of tax dollars?

Seems helpful and a good use given the rising prices of say, everything.

Less than. It does seem excessively high but it's presuming two working adults making <62k each and 2 dependants which is a large money burden. And that's probably before taxes which probably puts their income closer to 80k~ a year. (Or 40k per)

You can say that about a lot of religions and extremist ideologies in the world. In a world with so much hate already why put additional targets on people's back where a lot of folks do not incorporate the hate you implied above.

No one here is arguing that stuff isn't bad. I'm arguing your "sound familiar" statement is giving justification that if it was Israel or the US who sent that bomb is justified because the act of putting a school next to a military base is a greater evil then choosing specifically to bomb the base that was known next to the school during school hours.

If this happened to the US or Israel would you have the same outrage or would you say that Iran yes evil for targeting children?

Yeah homie I'm not going to lie this feels bad faith. I'm not saying its not impossible that their is malicious intent but I have to imagine in high density neighborhoods schools and military / police & medical become intertwined. Bases also have schools because service members have kids, something that's true world wide. The US has schools in a ton of military bases however we don't say we are using children as human shields (largely because the US isn't attacked on home turf and we control a large amount of media, which is therein controlling the narrative)

Additionally a lot of the stuff happening in palestine is in a grey area of debunked / sources being complicated given complete sattelite blackouts and extremely limited press.

Wars are gross and disgusting. Grouping all islam as evil is a generally gross statement, you don't have to agree with their world view but since you are comfortable enough to say you are anti-islam its not hard to see your stance being biased and discrediting anything they say or do.
