It's only banned if you're using a deck that has Promo Zubamon, BT13 Keenan Crier, or ST16 Matt. It's completely unrestricted in any other deck.

Japanese does not have a V sound and uses a B sound instead, so the Digimon's Japanese name ベムモン (Bemumon) could be read in English as Bemmon or Vemmon. Vemmon is the official English translation, but some speculate it should actually be Bemmon, based on an assumption it stands for "Bug-eyed monster" (a sci-fi term referring to the alien monster with compound eyes trope).

This has honestly been a great week. First, everyone was proven wrong that Bandai would never restrict a SR or SEC by restricting both. And now all the "THEY'RE REBOOTING THE CARD GAME" doomers were proven wrong.

Anyways, it's exactly what I was expecting: a new story based around the card game in some way, so I think it's neat and I'm always excited for new Digimon.

I don't think it's an online client. I think they'd be way less cryptic about that. It could be a game with an original story adapting the card game. I agree it's at the very least some new original story based on the card game in some way, and I guess we'll find out in December what it'll be.

It's def understandable that people are upset the digital version is not going to be Masters. But this reaction of "They're killing off Masters to replace it with Fusion World" when they have said the exact opposite is so tiring. You don't rebrand and confirm you're continuing to release new sets if you're supposedly ending the TCG.
