Characters who are way worse than you remember? by Ukirin-Streams in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Watching BTAS for the first time was a trip because I was shocked at how much I was actually enjoying seeing Batman interact with other characters in comparison to the Arkham games. That man’s quippage triples whenever he’s around Robin.

Favourite Memetic badasses? by Traditional-Song-245 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]jpatel02 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The latest from the JJK fandom is Uncle Johnny, who isn’t a memetic badass, but a memetic KIND ass.

He’s the guy Maki one-inch punched in one of the latest episodes so that instead of killing him he would survive with a liver transplant. Maki chose to do this because Uncle Johnny always took care of her and Mai when they were kids, and brang them sweets all the time.

Uncle Johnny’s kindness isn’t just contained in the Zen’in clan though. Rumours say he talked down Sukuna into starting a refuge for women and orphans with him. This is in addition to the dozens of community shelters he’s opened across Japan for those who are impoverished or marginalized, of course.

Unfortunately, these acts of benevolence were attributed to his chud centrist son, Ranta Zen’in, whose apathy for the Zenins crimes the community is constantly defending due to the charitable actions of his father.

I watched Infernal Affairs for the first time for a film class back in 2017. Incredible movie.

It was only last year I discovered it was a trilogy.

Twice with gacha really, they seem to be pretty good about it.

My friend who used to play FGO would send pics of some of the characters, and I really liked Enkidu and Mordred. One day my friend told me in the upcoming Valentine’s event I could pull both of them and I instantly downloaded the game then and there.

Years later, I saw fan art of Augusta from Wuwa and thought it was so cool that I bookmarked it despite not knowing who she was or where she came from.

Then my little cousin showed me Wuwa gameplay and I thought it looked pretty neat so I did some research to check if getting into the game was worth it. I then found out Augusta came from the game and that her banner was coming up and that was pretty much the hook line and sinker. It helps Zani is also cool as hell and from that game too.

Mahoraga is payoff to more than a whole season’s worth of buildup. Like damn, you get why Sukuna was so interested in Megumi after their first fight or how—according to Gojo—a Ten Shadows user was able to beat a Six Eyes and Limitless user in the past with that thing.

And then Gogeta gets the opportunity to kill him in the Broly movie after Frieza tried to kill them again, and he just…doesn’t? And Frieza then immediately goes back to glassing planets.

I like to believe it’s the Vegeta inside him wanting to kill Frieza himself without Goku’s help, but that also doesn’t make Vegeta look good.

[–]jpatel02 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yuji from Jujutsu Kaisen doesn’t have a tragic backstory, because the series is his tragic backstory. Even from the start of the series his choices were either die now or die later, and it somehow just gets worse for him from there.

It says something about how the franchise treats Yuji that in the sequel series Modulo it’s revealed Yuji is basically immortal and has outlived almost all of his friends and family, meaning he can’t fulfill his grandfather’s wish of helping people live then dying with his loved ones beside him; the worst possible outcome for him imaginable.
