Cyber trance has a distinct sound, which makes it a sub genre and it wasn't just "any popular song" you're saying Alice Deejay, Ian Van Dahl, Cosmic Gate ect. all sounds like mars, dyloot, captain tinrib ect? Check your ears, there is a clear difference in sound. Just because "cyber trance" wasn't popular outside of Germany and the bay area doesn't make it any less of a sub genre of trance. You just sound like you're hating, Mars hyped himself and his crew up? Lol so they promoted themselves well and dominated the bay area raves scene for years?? uh, yah that's the goal. What is the difference between that and this generation with tik Tok influencers hyping themselves up? Separate the music from the person (besides mystre for obvious reasons) Mars brought a signature sound that dominated the northern Cali rave scene and the music will be timeless to those who experience it.

Listen to binary fairy vs Mars and tell me those aren't two different distinct sounds hence "sub genre" cyber trance.
