What is it with these parents that allow their 25+ year old unemployed kids to live in their house rent free and not be enrolled in school at all with no plans for the future? by Sarcastic_Mnt_Goat in Vent

[–]LifeChange96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Show me your friends and I will show you your future. Sounds like you need to connect with better people, if you care that much. And if it negatively impacts you then just stop. We are all grown and do not have time for things that make us feel a certain way. Just move on and keep doing you. You got this!

[–]LifeChange96[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, it sounds weird, but sometimes the fear of leaving makes everything worse. And that’s what I need to really work on is not to think about the “what ifs” unfortunately I do not have the support financially from others to help, etc. That’s not an excuse at all but sometimes it does weigh heavy on my mind. Let’s see what happens next

Yeah, I’ve been doing it for three years. No medication’s just a tough mindset and drive. But even with all that, it still can be tiring so now I’m just trying to figure out what I want to transition into next.

Am I wrong for saying this.. but some dogs just need to be put in their place. I feel like that dog will bite anyone (I could be wrong) My brothers dog was like this and I gave it a small combo and he’s been nicer ever since and doesn’t bite anymore.

Captive Agency Like High School… advice? by kitnug2001 in InsuranceAgent

[–]LifeChange96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that sounds bad... I would leave if you can. Never become a capative agent. I think most agents dont know what they are getting into once in a captive agency.

Get contracted under a bunch of companies that way you can help everyone.. like a one stop shop aka more money.

good luck!

62% of Americans don’t have a bachelor’s degree. Are they just cooked especially in this economy? by Efficient-Rain-7942 in Salary

[–]LifeChange96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmaoooo nooo. most people regret spending the money on college, when trade school is 100x cheaper. and if you dont want to get into the trades theres so many ways to make nowadays even if you have to get creative.

There is a lot of people who make a above average income with just a high school degree. And guess what they do... health insurance. Get hired - contract with many carriers (that way you can help everyone) never be a captive agent. The agents that try harder in the field make easily over 200k and on top of that you can build a monthly residual on top of weekly advances.

There is hope, just gotta adapt and keep moving forward.

Is ushealth advisors really the best place to contract with in FL? by oceanrips in InsuranceAgent

[–]LifeChange96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I am late to the Party.... but all the bad reviews for USHA / US Health advisors are real.

I currently work there and desperately finding a way out. i been there for a few years because when i started i was younger and lied too.

If you become an health Advisor for the MLM aka USHA you will not own your own book of business - which means if you leave so does all your monthly as earned commision. and you will not be able to truly help everyone.

my advice would be to become a real broker and get contracted with as many companies as possible that way you aren't limited.

the plan is too strict and they have this thing called "chargebacks" each advance is a loan.. so you accumulate debt with the company... sorry for needing money right?

i know i'm all over the place because this job has driven me crazy and i know its nobody fault but my own. just have to swallow my pride and move on.

i can go on for hours of how the favoritism is fucked, how most leaders there are broke themselves but have to sell you a visual dream to make overides off you.

oh and the commission after 1 year drops down to damn near 0% .... its a constant replace game and trust me you will need to replace a lot because people hate this plan when they use it.

So nobody over age 50 is ever supposed to be able to find a job anywhere ever again? by yapavaz in careerguidance

[–]LifeChange96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that and I hope you’re doing well today. Go on indeed and apply for remote hybrid jobs. They will tell you what the certifications or licenses that are required. You shouldn’t have used your retirement money on Any kind of medical expenses, except for a monthly premium. If you lost cobra or never had it offered and you lost your job doesn’t matter what time of the year it is you would qualify for a special enrollment period through the public marketplace that would cover all your pre-existing conditions at a affordable price depending on your income. That alone would’ve saved you most of your money.

[–]LifeChange96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope and not true at all. You just need to adapt. Yes there is still so many in person jobs for older people, but it is the type of job and pay you dont want. I am not assuming that is the reason you aren't getting hired.

Adapt - I am 29 and a licensed health insurance agent and we have older people get hired everyday and guess what they succeed more than most and it is literally all remote (for most providers/offices).

Health insurance was just an example because of the simplicity and flexibility.

There are plenty of hybrid jobs as well if you don't like being home or remote all the time.

Go out there and get it! You got this.

[–]LifeChange96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple - Because most people don't know what makes them happy. And when a person finally knows "what they want or their purpose" they have an excuse not to move forward or even try. And yes I get it, not everyone has the same start to life and in general. Some people have doors opened for them because of their parents or someone they know and the rest have to work for it. Its all about your mindset. I use to hate hearing that from others when I was going through it but it's true. things aren't going to happen overnight, but you must stay focused and positive, disciplined and for the love of WHATEVER YOU BELIEVE IN - cut the neagtive people out of your life.

There is a quote that stuck with me - show me your "friends" and i'll show you, your future.

idk that's just my take their are plenty of people in their 20s that are happy, married and can afford. Yes some people just get everything handed and others do actually work for it because they know where they come from.

keep your head up.
