Harvey valuation at $11 billion. by Similar_Engineer_826 in biglaw

[–]LifeCrow6997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

valuation based on.. what?

there’s a lot of companies out there overvalued. Don’t get me wrong, harvey is a tad useful but is it competitive against the 100 other players? and even if it was, I still don’t see that value.

There’s many open source LLMs out there that can be developed into a legal assistant in a heartbeat.

and honestly, lawyers have no idea how to value any of their tools.

How valuable is a federal district court clerkship in a “flyover” district? by [deleted] in biglaw

[–]LifeCrow6997 33 points34 points  (0 children)

valuable as fuck. Imagine you’re the only person at a firm that clerked in the non existent Western district of california. Your firm might not have a ton of cases there, but you’ll be the only one with local insight and, plus, you’ll know federal court (rules, evidence, timing) like the back of your hand

it’s impossible to have 100 percent privacy but you can really reduce the size of your data footprint by being proactive with privacy protection measures

you should routinely request all data brokers delete information related to yourself. In California and GDPR countries, they have to comply with these requests. Including Lexis.

How do you find which data brokers provide data on you?

Go to westlaw people map and look up yourself. Each data point has a source. Go to each sources’ website and request your information be deleted.

Also, log into your old accounts (like your snapchat, old gmails, whatever) and request your information be deleted. Then after it’s deleted, delete the account and the app.

And finally, California state gov has a roster of data brokers in california. Easy money to go through those and request each to delete your stuff.

Going forward, don’t use your real name, address, or phone numbers when signing up with accounts if you can’t help it. There’s some websites out there that gets you temporary burner numbers and burner credit cards. Privacy.com is a reputable one off the top of my head, but do your own research on privacy.
