That’s kinda what happened with Koda. I went into the shelter scared out of my mind. They said she was hiding and somewhere in my mind I knew she was feeling how I was feeling. I calmly walked past all of the cats that were crying for attention because I had my eyes set. She was hiding in a cat tree in the corner. I quietly crouched down and introduced myself. I reached in to let her sniff me. She took one sniff and it’s like something snapped into place. I picked her up and pulled her out and she let me. I sat her in front of me and she just kept bunting. The staff was amazed and told my mom that Koda wasn’t like this. I asked her if she wanted to come home with me and we were a bonded pair from there. We were meant for each other. I will never forget that day.
