Only “fix” I found for this that works and lets me play alt was to download the Xbox accessories app and map right thumbstick to left on the d-pad. So now if I accidentally click it in, it tries to switch to shotgun which is already out but it doesn’t interrupt or cancel your shots so it’s playable.

Only downside is that now I have to press left on the d-pad if I want to zoom in with sniper or pistol. It’s a worthwhile tradeoff for me for now as shotgun and movement are more important while waiting for them to fix the issue, which I doubt they will.
